We have a party of 6 - difficult, ain't it. I ended up going with 2 connecting rooms @ RPH. One thing I learned - plan (and get something reserved) well in advance, especially during peak times, because some of my options were limited. For example - a "suite" at PBH was considered by the clerk assisting me (and I do agree - CALL THEM - the 'net just won't do for this situation!) However, the PBH suites were not available. No connecting rooms either, so I was told. At HRH - I could get connecting rooms (std or garden view) but no "guarantee" that the rooms would connect (they would "do their best to honor it"). Yikes - not keen on idea of splitting the herd! There was a hospitality suite @ RPH - I could get a nice little discount on it using an AP, but even then - it would still be almost $800/nt. It would have 1K, 2Q, and 3 baths. I think that's about what the "2BR Parlor" suite at PBH was priced, at least for the timing of our trip - somewhere around 750/nt. In the end - I went with 2 water view rooms at RPH. Got an AP discount, brings it to somewhere around $200 per nt per room (so $400/nt). She quoted a king in one room, 2 queen beds in the other, and now I am concerned because I read a post wherein typically you have to have "2 same bed types" in order for room to connect? Like I said - I REALLLLLLY need for those 2 rooms to be together! So if anyone knows anything about THAT - let me know! I plan to call RPH directly and ask them (probably more than once, too!) Hope this info helps. Again - call them - it really makes quick work of it all, and the clerk was able to see discounts that simply were not showing up on the internet, too.
