We are not going for over a year but I need to start saving. We will have 2 adults, 2-16y.o girls and 2-11 y.o boys. We are letting the kids take friends for the first time. Are there any rooms on site that can accomadate all of use or will have to get two room. If I have to get 2 rooms are there plenty that are connecting. We are hoping to stay at HRH seeing we have an all access membership. I was just hoping that my husband and I could stay in the same room for our trip. it would suck to be split up. This is a vacation for us too.

You have to get connecting rooms. We've had 2 queen connecting to a king at the HRH. Just make sure you tell them you need connecting for young children. I can't see the 16 year old girls being happy to be sleeping in the same room as 11 year old boys though, lol.

Call them directly. I couldn't find info online, so I called to inquire about options for our family of 7 (2 adults, 4 children, 1 infant). She asked the ages and approximate dates, and was able to give me ALL the available options. Plus I booked and they give you time to call back to apply the deposit. I can say it was the first time it was EASIER to book by phone :thumbsup2

Can you tell me what you decided on or what some of the options where. Thanks

We ended up in a Portofino Suite with the stay more save more discount. It has 2 Queen beds in the bedroom and a Parlor with a Queen sofa. It has 2 reservation numbers so they booked 1 adult 4 children in the bedroom and 1 adult 1 child in the parlor. There was an option for a 2 bedroom suite but that was $$$$. Or 2 connecting rooms at any of the hotels.

Thanks, I just hope I can find something at HRH. That is where the kids really want to stay. We might have to go with 2 connecting rooms and the kids will need to live with staying in the same room. I'm hoping that I can get a king room connected to 2 queen bed rooms there. I looked at other rooms and it is about $1000 more for 3 nights and I'm think that is not worth it. Can get lots of cool stuff or eat at some cool places for $1,000

Portofino suite has an occupancy limit of 5 people. I don't know how they managed to get 7 of you in there --- no one has been allowed to do that before and I've been around these forums for a long time. There may be issues later. I suggest you call back and ask.

From the website:

Kids Suite - up to 5 guests* (rollaway rental needed for 5th person)

1 Bedroom Portofino Suite - up to 5 guests* (bedding for 5th person would require a rollaway rental or use of the sleeper sofa)

1 Bedroom Villa Suite - up to 5 guests* (bedding for 5th person would require a rollaway rental or use of the sleeper sofa)

1 Bedroom Hospitality Suite - up to 5 or 7 guests, depending on booked connecting room

Thanks for your concern. I actually saw one of your posts and was VERY concerned so I verified twice (two calls) and an email. And it was OK. I can't explain it. But I have it in writing, so as far as I'm concerned...it's all good. The way the 2 reservatons read are 1 Adult 4 children in 2 Q and 1 Adult 1 child (infant) in the Parlor.

Well good luck. Make sure you bring the email along with you saying it is okay, so at least you have some back up in writing. Then at least they will have to accommodate you somehow.

Totally. Thanks. Plus we paid in full, so I'm bringing all our accounting receipts from Loews as well. I'm ALL about the paper trail. Also thanks for all the great info and pics you've posted on these boards!:worship:

We have a party of 6 - difficult, ain't it. I ended up going with 2 connecting rooms @ RPH. One thing I learned - plan (and get something reserved) well in advance, especially during peak times, because some of my options were limited. For example - a "suite" at PBH was considered by the clerk assisting me (and I do agree - CALL THEM - the 'net just won't do for this situation!) However, the PBH suites were not available. No connecting rooms either, so I was told. At HRH - I could get connecting rooms (std or garden view) but no "guarantee" that the rooms would connect (they would "do their best to honor it"). Yikes - not keen on idea of splitting the herd! There was a hospitality suite @ RPH - I could get a nice little discount on it using an AP, but even then - it would still be almost $800/nt. It would have 1K, 2Q, and 3 baths. I think that's about what the "2BR Parlor" suite at PBH was priced, at least for the timing of our trip - somewhere around 750/nt. In the end - I went with 2 water view rooms at RPH. Got an AP discount, brings it to somewhere around $200 per nt per room (so $400/nt). She quoted a king in one room, 2 queen beds in the other, and now I am concerned because I read a post wherein typically you have to have "2 same bed types" in order for room to connect? Like I said - I REALLLLLLY need for those 2 rooms to be together! So if anyone knows anything about THAT - let me know! I plan to call RPH directly and ask them (probably more than once, too!) Hope this info helps. Again - call them - it really makes quick work of it all, and the clerk was able to see discounts that simply were not showing up on the internet, too.

It isn't impossible to get 1K connecting to 2Q, they just tell you that it is easier to do it if you choose the same type rooms. I think they have quite a few 2Q connecting to 2Q.

Hmmm - funny you say that. I just checked my email ressies I rec'd today... Despite being told I had reserved 1 K, and 2Q bedrooms, the emails cite that I have two (2-Q bed) rooms. Whatever. I don't care one way or the other - so long as we have ENOUGH beds, the configuration matters not! Instead of putting the little dude in the king with us - we will just stick him in with one of his brothers in a queen bed. It's all good - I just want the rooms to be joined! The family that stays together... (insures that her teens behave together!) ;)
