Sorry about posting on this forum but didn't know where to post this.....

I've booked dinners, shows, charct breks but what is the nicest thing you would want to buy for your wife or partner, or receive as a lady for a souvenir of the trip.

It's our honeymoon and I would like to give her the ideal momento.

What would you do or get ?

Oh MY...this reminds me of that Disney Cruise commercial..."Mommy's little souvenir" ...it takes nine months to come to fruition though.:)

Bon Voyage!:wave2:

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at WDW and will be celebrating our 29th this February also at WDW. Some of the more romantic things that we have done are an Illuminations cruise and a Magic Kingdom Fireworks cruise. Planning our evening meal at the castle at the Magic Kingdom for when there were going to be fireworks and watching the Electric Water Parade from the beach at the Polynesian. There is a wonderful book called "Walt Disney World For Couples" that has many, many great suggestions.

Hope you have a wonderful honeymoon and that your marriage is as happy as mine!(smile)

The electric water pagent sounds great but the nine months later idea is excellent although not instant !

What time does the pagent run ?

My DH & I honeymooned 8 years ago in DW. Our wedding presents to each other? - I bought him just one share of Disney stock (which has since split, twice if I remember correctly) and he purchased me a 'walk around the world' block. It says our names & the date. Which we visit and have taken our children to on subsequent visits.

We have a nice little certificate for the block. The Disney stock is suitable for framing as well, if you have the certificate issued.

They sell Minnie Bride & Mickey Groom picture frames that can be personalized - a pic of you & your wife doing something special at Disney World. Check the personilization store at downtown Disney.

My husband & I did watch the EP from the Poly beach, & went to the luau (which was fun).

Have a wonderful honeymoon.

Join the Disney Vacation Club so you can continue the magic until 2042 or 2054.

Also, my husband bought me the Cinderella Coach in gold that is a Christmas ornament. It was about $30 if I recall.

I know memories are the best since you always have them, but, I would like to have something to take home and wear. To show off! How about a nice Pin or earrings or necklace with mickey and diamonds (or crystals)? I bought the cutest pair of mickey earrings with crystals in NYC the one and only time I have been there. They are too fancy for every day, but are gorgeous. Every time I get in my jewelry box, I think of that trip. I think if it were me, I would like something like that. There are sure a lot of places in WDW that you could find something like that!
Good luck.
Let us know what you decide. And Congrats!
Cathy :D

How about a 14k gold charm? I bought my sister a gold charm bracelet locally then while at the Magic Kingdom I purchased a 3-D Mickey charm, they are avaliable in most of the characters so if she has a favorite you could surprise her with that or if she was a nice gold chain it could be added and would always have special momento. (The 3-D charms start at apx $120.00)

This trip my boyfriend and I had our pictures taken by the photographers that wander around the parks. It's usually so hard to get a picture of us since it's was just the two of us. We bought some nice frames and are going to put the pictures in. I love photos so I thought this was really nice :)

We've also done a half day at the Saratoga Springs spa which was a really nice break from the parks. We each had a 50 minute massage (I wished it was longer) ... and you get to use the facilities beforehand.

Go to the Garden Grill (In Epcot) for the Re-Hitching Ceremony.. I believe you get a certificate that you could have framed.

These responses are great. Thanks for the ideas.

I like the idea of something to wear like a chain with disney character and also the re-hitching ceremony.

Is it possible to find out more about these ?

Please tell all....

Have your pictures put on the stones in front of Epcot. We had ours done 4 years ago, then when we returned with our families this last time it was great fun seeing it again. Brought back memories from our last trip.

We went to WDW for our honeymoon last year. Some of my favorite momentos from that trip are the bride and groom mickey ears christmas ornaments and the Barlow ornament we bought at WL with the year on it. The WL concierge also gave us a huge chocolate bar with a picture of the WL on it. I don't think we'll ever it eat it it's too great a token of our trip. I also bought a necklace in Epcot that I wear everyday.

For me there's really not a tangible thing that I brought home from the trip that means the most (maybe our photo album full of great pictures?). We just took advantage of everything that we could and wanted to do at WDW and felt like royalty the whole trip. I'm not so sure you need the IDEAL momento...but that's just my opinion.

The largest beer stien i could find at the Germany pavilion in Epcot! (kidding folks)

I plan on presenting her with her favorite gem stone(onyx)in a necklace at the "Partners" statue in the MK.

Well, I like some sort of Art.

During our honeymoon in Alaska, we bought a small framed painting by a local artist.

In Disney, my choice would be a Marie Osmond doll.

Look in The Art of Disney. They have lots of very nice art and collectables. They are in every park & dtd. Choose something that would be meaningful to you both. When you display it in your home, you'll always remember your honeymoon. Plus, it will be a nice object to pass down in case you get that 9 mth souviner that the above poster suggested. ;)

Well, last January we where there just before my birthday. While shopping in DD I spotted a ring that was real gold but a CZ it is in the shape of a mickey icon. ºoº kinda like that. It's $220, but I absolutely LOVE my ring. My husband snuck over and bought it when I wasn't looking and told me this is my TODAY, TOMORROW AND FOREVER ring! He finally surprised me. Everyone that see's it, love it too. You could get her one and present it on an illuminations cruise and tell her you didn't want the other hand to be jealous of her wedding finger hand. ;)

Anything you do will be special. She's lucky to have someone that plans that much. My husband is an off the cuff maybe maybe not person. Good luck.

Wendi, you are a romantic and that idea is very good.
Kimberely, we are definitely going to buy one of those Disney Lithographs so that too is good.

Sounds like it's going to get expensive but shes worth it.

Love

I think the Leave a Legacy tile is great if you plan on going back! It's a great way to have a memory that you can always go back to, plus they send you a little slide with your picture on it (i think two of them, actually) You can also have on written out with your anniversary and names!

You can find beautiful Mickey earrings in precious gemstones and pearls in most of the deluxe resort gift shops as well as some of the stores in the parks. DH gave me the sapphire ones a couple years back for our anniversary. I've also seen them in diamonds, emeralds, and rubies.

I wear mine a lot and get wonderful comments on them :)

If you choose a charm, here's a head's up. The silver 3-D one of the castle is terrible. I ruined more pantihose with that thing than I can begin to tell you. I put holes and runs in some of my favorite sweaters. When it finally snapped off (I get them soldered on to my charm bracelet), I didn't miss it. It's not getting replaced.
