Hey Guys,

We sent the docs and check off to Timeshare Closing Services today. I need to find out what is the anticipated closing. Around 2 weeks right?

Mike,

Yes...about 2 weeks sounds right. It is EXCRUTIATING to wait for closing and Member Services Number!!! I want to book a std. view 1 BR at BWV for late April....there are probably none left but each day that passes by makes it seem even less likely LOL! Anyway, I'm sorry to say but it sure does stink...especially if you've been waiting to pass ROFR for so long (like so many of us here). Just think though, you are in the home stretch and in only a matter of a few short weeks you will finally hear them speak those words "Welcome Home" .

Our wire was directed to the wrong account and had to be redone 10/6. I can't sleep hoping closing will be finalized in a few hours. So I guess my wait for member info is next. I'm trying to stay positive since we made it this far and survived the stress.
This group has helped and for that I want to thank you all. I hope this thread doesn't end since there will always be someone waiting for ROFR. I don't see an add on in our near future. I couldn't take it right now not to mention the added expense.

2 weeks might be a little long. Our closing was just over one week after our docs were received to be exact. Closing docs were recieved 9/14 and we closed 9/22.

Jerry from TTS just called, we are going to be the proud owners of 200 pts for the VWL, because Disney passed on the ROFR!!!

And to think just a month and a half ago we stayed at the WL and now we own there.

Thanks RuthnPaul for the prodding. Since your question pushed us to pursue the VWL resale, then it would only be fitting that you help with the final payment check!

Beca, that Christmas of '05 meeting at the VWL is starting to look like reality.

Just received a call from TCS: we passed ROFR! Took about 2 weeks from the date I overnighted my contract and deposit.
So I guess you can add me to the "waiting to close" list.
TCS also said I can expect to get the closing documents in about 3 weeks. I said that doesn't seem like the "priority service" I am paying for. TCS responded that the time is for escrow/title search to make sure fees are paid and points are there and that they will try to rush it along.

DisneyRon, GREAT NEWS! Congratulations and welcome home!! I must tell you though I think you have it all wrong -- instead of us helping you pay your final payment, I think you ought to transfer 10% of those points into our account as a sign of your un-ending gratitude (LOL)!! It will be very cool to meet up with my fellow VWL-ers next Christmas...

Anyone who closed after buying with TTS-

We are meeting to sign papers for our Home Equity Loan tomorrow. The closing service still has not given us an exact amount, although TTS has quoted us $475 for closing costs. Is this accurate or could it be a ball park figure?

I would live to get the check made out directly to them.

Any input would help.

We passed ROFR!!! TTS called this morning. I was so excited I did a little dance that made my DS (19months) smile and laugh. They told me 2-4 weeks for my closing docs but I sure hope it doesn't take that long!

Yea!!! Congrats to ALL who heard this morning!!!!!....esp Disney Ron!! You and Ruth n Paul and me (and my mom...hopefully she will be an owner by then, too!!)...we have GOT to find a time to meet during Christmas 2005...of course, AT VWL!!!! I'm thinking of a celebratory "drink" (okay..it'll be water for me if I am pg!!) at Artist's Point!!!


This is SOOO exciting!!! I left a message with my mom to see if she passed...but, she is not home!!! I will let you know if I hear anything!!

Mike--sorry to hear your tale of woe and hope it can only get better from here. We passed the 14th too and got our papers last Friday late, so ours went in only a day before yours. I called today and they said our sellers' paperwork was in as of this morning. Yipee!!! Said they would try to close us tomorrow and get the stuff to Disney and to allow another 10 days after that to be in the Disney system.

OKAY--how long did it REALLY take you guys to get into Disney's system? When can I start calling to sweetly plead???

Our closing costs were $525. and they (TTS) stayed true to the number. HTH someone.

We closed on 9/20 and were shocked when we found out we were in the system only 2 days later! Another time it took about 7 days. Kind of sounds like ROFR, doesn't it??
