We lost our contract again . Jaki said it makes no sense and she'd understand if we gave up. Maybe we're not meant for DVC. I have to seriously consider what our next move is.

In light of this hurricane, I'm not going to spend too much time complaining. But I have to be honest and say that I'm seriously bummed. The good news is that Jaki said 8 other of her contracts went thru without a hitch. Hopefully that's all the rest of you "waiters" here on Dis. I may be alone in the ROFR club...stop by and visit me some time . LOL

On a more serious note...I'm still praying that this hurricane weakens. All my thoughts, prayers and pixie dust are heading your way Florida. This is truly something to be upset about...and it puts my minor ROFR dilemma into perspective.

LOADS of pixie dust to Mike, Kim, Kathy, Martin and Michael. I surely do hope you guys pass ROFR.

I am shocked, I really thought it would work out this time. I am so sorry ((hugs))!!!

What were your terms on this contract?

I understand that with the current situation (Frances) you don't want to worry about what to do next, but whatever you decide....I KNOW it will work out for you...third times the charm.

And you WON"T be alone in ROFR...you were here for us....we will be there for you, I am sure everyone else on this thread will agree.

I am SO SORRY that your contract did not pass ROFR. Please don't think that DVC isn't meant for you -- maybe this is a sign that an even better contract is still in the offing!

Hope some of you that used Jaki hear the good word this afternoon.

My thoughts & prayers are with all of you who live in Florida; this hurricane is just incredible.

EDITED TO ADD: Carlos (Mike)! OH NO!!! I know how excited you were to become DVC members so this must be so terribly disappointing. Like I mentioned to AmyBeth, maybe there is something even better out there that will present itself -- don't give up yet!

So, what are you guys going to do? Go for another OKW? Wait out the hurricane and try again next week? Let me know.

I hate to be the only one with good news today -- but we passed ROFR!!!!

Mike and AmyBeth, I'm so sorry for you guys that you didn't pass!

I got the call at 9:45 this morning from Timeshare Closing Services (weird that Jerry at TTS didn't call me with the news??) that we had passed. They said I will get the closing documents to me in about 2 weeks. They also said they would be closed until next Tues due to Hurricane Frances. Let's hope everyone is safe down there!!!

My contract was for 240 pts. at BCV, $73/point, March UY, buyer paying all closing costs. The contract was pretty stripped though, with only 61 points coming 3/05, and no points left from 2004. We didn't need the points right away so that was fine for us! The seller is reimbursing us for the used 2005 points.

Well, I hope everyone that didn't pass goes for another contract at some point so I can say Welcome Home!!!!

Congrats to everyone that passed. I feel bad for everyone that didn't.

Looks like paying $73-$74 per point, plus MF's and closing should get you the contract. If you really want the contract(i.e. it has decent points avail.) then I'd consider paying $75-$76.

Just found out our points are now in the computer, so I can officially book a resort.

Good luck for everyone still in ROFR, as well as those going to make another offer.

Do you guys think Disney would snag a $73/point OKW contract now, even with buyer paying MF? Just curious. I'm still trying to decide what our next move should be. I'm over the initial shock and frustration and moving on to Plan C.

I too, have an offer on the table for OKW. 250 points @ $71 per point. I'm paying closing costs and MF on 194 points that became available on Sept. 1. After reading through the posts on this subject, I'm afraid that we will not pass ROFR.

We will go with SSR if our contract isn't approved. I will have to settle for fewer points but I don't want to go through the waiting game again.

I hope everyone in Flordia makes out ok with the impending storm.

I would try countering at $73 if the seller will allow (that is if you really like the contract you are trying to get), otherwise I would try for a new one. BWV seems to be passing at $73 w/buyer paying everything. And afterall, ROFR just snagged at least 3 contracts that we know of for OKW (how many more do they really need right now??)

I would try an OKW at 73. Your heart is set on OKW...don't settle for anything else. Try again......and you WILL succeed.
