I've been trying to find reviews on this that are from this year...only a few years old reviews. I'm interested in going to one of these hotels. Any one been lately?

You might want to check out tripadvisor.com for hotel reviews. They usually have dozens for each hotel.

Hope this helps!

If you mean the Travelodge Suites East Gate Orange, the one with the big orange in the front parking area we stayed there this past Jan-Feb for 12 nights. The room was clean but a little dated in the bathroom. The sink needd to be replaced because of hairline cracks in the porcelain. The staff were amazing and Mike and Patricia onthe front desk were the friendliest most helpful front desk staff I have ever met. It was very cold when we were there and the heating system was not keeping the pool warm enough. The jaccuzi was hot hot. The free breakfast was coffee, tea, juice and packaged pastries. Not very nutritional but all sugar. We often took the packaged donuts and took them to the park for snacks and had something else for breakfast. The rooms have a micor/fridge which is really handy. It is located directly across the street from a Cracker Barrell and there is a Waffle House in the parking lot. We would definately stay there are and have stayed there int he early 90s. They currently have a $46. AAA rate on the web site. Good budget motel with a few extras, free wifi, large safe in the room, snacks

We stayed one night last June at the Travelodge East Gate Orange, (prior to staying at the Royal Pacific- love RPR for FOTL at US/IOA!) and we found it to fit our needs. The only complaint that I had was that the hair dryer did not work. We had three boys with us and the sofa sleeper was even pretty good, as far as sleeper sofas go! I would definitely stay there again. If you stay at a Travelodge (and others), be sure to sign up for Trip Rewards and you will earn points towards a free night each time you stay!
