We have dinner reserv. for the buffet but have not heard any reviews....

Thank you!

I ate there for dinner in May 2007 and was not too impressed with it because of the lack of variety. Also had a very bad experience due to an incompetent CM, but that's a whole other story. On the other hand, a lot of people do like it because it's the cheapest buffet on property.

The Buffeteria is great for kids who like standard american fare and for teenagers who are bottomless pits. It was a little better than a Furr's Buffet or Golden Corral in food quality and much cleaner than either of those places.

If you are on the DDP and like a buffet, I would suggest you look elsewhere such as Boma's, Crystal Palace, or Chef Mickey's. If you are paying out of pocket and need a place to fuel up big eaters for the smallest ding to your wallet, this is a great option.

Their fried chicken is very good and my son managed to eat his weight in ribs. It was astonishing to see. They have a nice salad bar with lovely soups and corn bread. The veggies on the salad bar were all very fresh and crisp. They do a good job of keeping things replenished and have enough people coming through that you don't end up with food which has formed strange skins and odd consistencies.

In the mornings they have a nice selection or standard fare and a "donut bar" that my usually "health food" fed children adored.

When we are paying out of pocket, and hit Magic Kingdom for Early Extra Magic hours, we will come here for a "late breakfast" which is actually either our early lunch, brunch, or second breakfast (Yes, my son is a hobbit).

We tend not to do the Extra Magic Hours in the past few years since our teens have an aversion to morning and when the hotels are full there does not seem to be much benefit in the morning EMH, but I thought I would pass it along.

If your group consists of "foodies" then this might not be the place to eat.

I think the food is ok there. And that's it, just ok. I went last week the day before our free dining kicked in because I thought it was going to be a cheaper meal. For the 5 of us it was $98, 3 adults 2 kids. My daughter is 10 now so she is an adult by Disney standards. I would have rather gone to the food court at our resort. I don't think it was worth the money.

As someone who just booked her stay Sat, I have been left with very little to chose from dining wise. I am going during free dining at the last minute so I knew full well what I was getting myself into. Anyway, when we check out of OKW and into WLV's, I thought we would drive over to WLV's and boat tot he MK and then boat to the FWC for a late lunch at the Trails End Buffet and check out the petting zoo, ride pony and so. We ate there, probably 8 yrs ago, and remember it as very basic fare, nothing fancy but descent. So we're giving it a try. Our dd's are both free so thats $12.99 x 2, cheap enough for me, if its bad I won't feel to terribly bad.

Next to San Angels and Bomas, it was not so good. 3 worst choices for us on the last trip. Very bland limited choices of food. All was cold, not even busy and the waitress was far and few between on refills of tea. This party of 5 won't be gong back this Dec.

We went there last September and it was ok. We are generally simple eaters so it was good for us. It was nothing spectacular. My DS3 loved mac and cheese and the desserts. The Chicken and ribs were not bad and the chili is pretty good too. If you are looking for fancy don't go. I would not go out of my way to go back, but I would not say never.

The chicken and ribs are the same as from the Hoop Dee Doo, so if you've ever been to that, some of the food will be the same.

Our family enjoyed it. I thought there was a nice selection. We've been there twice, and never had any problems. That being said, in my own opinion, all the buffet food starts to taste similar after a while. But, we enjoy the boat ride over, the grounds, the beach, and finally having a meal. I would certainly eat there again.

Just so you know, the lunch menu has changed; it is now cold cuts, make your own sandwich , soups and desserts. It's not a mini version of the dinner any longer.

our family of 5 ate there - the food was okay - pizza, chicken, salad, soup, etc.
we felt the tables were very close together and cramped - wooden tables and chairs -
the price was good but the effort to get there (if you are not staying there), the limited buffet and the small dining area all keep if from being "worth the effort" for us

that said, i know there are lots of people who like it and the price is good!

We were just there the beginning of August and had a bad CM when checking in. Once we were finally seated, we went to the buffet. I was disappointed, not in the quality, but quantity. We had seen pictures from someone who had just done a TR and had just eaten there. In the pictures, the tables were full of salad items, shrimp and so on. On the buffet we had, it was empty. There were only a few items on the salad bar and that is what we had been looking forward to the most. Our waitress was really good, everytime she came by she had refills for us. All and all it was a good resturant and I would try it again. We also had some birthday's and anniversary's that night, they brought out these huge strawberry shortcakes for all of us.

Trail's End has always been a favorite place of ours. We like it because it is not a large as some of the other resturants and we have always had good service. The CM's have always been right there when we needed something or not. Yes, we will be back in December.:santa:

A favorite place of ours! We always make a trip over for the cheapest buffet at Disney. We have always had good luck with food and service. It can be difficult to get to however we usually park at the WL and take a boat over. The kids like to explore the WL before the boat ride over to FW. Then they like playing on the playground before dinner. If we have a window seat we let them go to playground while we finish our dinner. If we have time we will visit the petting zoo and sometimes wonder up to the camp fire/movie.

We didn't go this past trip since we had free dining. It was actually kind of strange not going there. However, we felt our free dining credits were better spent at Ohana's and Boma which we were very pleased with (as always)!

Thanks for the heads up, I will be canceling that then. And trying for WCC for lunch that day.
