I understand this hotel has undergone remodeling recently. Any in-site on what to expect will be greatly appreciated.

We stayed there in 2004, when renovations were just barely getting underway. It's a convention hotel, we didn't see many little kids around. Great location for Sea World. You used to have to pay for parking, not sure if that's the case now. The lobby is beautiful. There is a Koi pond and to watch them come and feed the fish is very entertaining. The rooms are very large. At that time, the furniture was worn looking, but I'm sure the renovations have taken care of that. They give you champaigne on arrival. The staff was courteous and friendly. The food was a bit overpriced. We didn't eat at the restaurant but we ate at the deli-type place a couple times and it was expensive. I got a great rate on Priceline and would stay there again, but my husband doesn't like the fact that it is kind of out of the way from everything except Sea World. It's a laid back atmosphere, mostly professionals and older adults. It's a beautiful hotel. I would recommend it!

Thanks dfarner..just looking for a nice/clean place to relax...laid back is good. We are doing a "girls only" trip and I did find a good deal...however I don't think it's a popular choice with the dis crowd and most of the other travel sites don't have too much information. I think you are right about paying for parking. If the advertised Starbucks is up and running, I'll really be happy

I would definitely suggest it for a "girls only" outing! It has a nice lobby bar area too, I forgot to mention that. Pool area and pool bar were nice. When we were there it was a little too chilly to swim, but it was nice. There's a trolley stop right out front too. We got on but got off a short time later and just walked. Have you looked at the reviews on trip advisor? I haven't looked lately, but it used to get very favorable reviews.
I see you're from Indiana. My husband grew up in Lafayette and graduated from Ball State. We were up there last week visiting family!!
Hope you have a great trip!
