The never ending search for the perfect stroller continues. I have 3 children ages 5 1/2, 3 3/4, and 21 months. We currently own a Maclaren single, Maclaren double, Graco Duo Glider, Evenflo travel system.....

I am leaning toward bringing my Maclaren single (2001 model) as my baby doesn't care for the Maclaren double and then renting double strollers in the parks as needed for the older children. The Evenflo and Graco are just TOO BIG. I had thought about purchasing a Sit N Stand but it is just too big-nearly the size of my Graco double. Today I was looking at the Pliko and thought it had a few pros over the Maclaren-looks more comfortable for baby-more padding and she can sit up straighter in it. Easier for her to get in. It has a bigger sun shade and front bar for snacks and drink and much easier to recline-my Maclaren as its older is a royal pain to recline and only has 2 positions. It has a carry handle and can stand when folded. Now for the cons-it would be a purchase of another stroller, its bigger-weighs 15 vs 12 pounds and doesn't fold as small. Other than price (I found a 2003 model for $169 from the online company I purchased my double Maclaren from) the pros seem to far outweigh the cons.

Has anyone ever had any experience using the foot bar on the rear for a 2nd child? Is it impossible to push the stroller with a child there? Is it difficult/comfortable for them to ride? I was thinking this might be the pro to push me into the purchase. I'm worried about getting back to the hotel room from the bus/monorail after a day in the parks. If we need a stroller in the parks for the older children I would still rent.

Thanks for any insights.

I have this stroller for my 16mo DS. I have a 6yo DD who is 42lbs. and she uses the back footbar all the time. She actually fits in the stroller too with the front bar off!! We had it with us on our trip in Nov. DD was almost 6yo and DS was 9mo. DD would fall asleep in the stroller while my DS was in his Baby Bjorn.(when we were out late) Anyway, when DD is on the footbar I have no trouble steering the stroller. I have owned many other strollers in search for the perfect one. This one bar far is the best for me! It folds up so easily and folds up to you. You don't have to push down and have it on the floor! I think it folds up nicely and isn't really big when folded. The handle is great and makes it easy to carry. Another option I like is when the seat is in the fully up position, the canopy can cover practically the whole seat keeping the sun almost completely off the baby. Keep in mind the seat has to be fully upright for another child to be able to use the foot bar comfortably. My DD loves riding on the footbar and has never complained. I absolutely love this stroller. I thought the basket at the bottom for storage was small, until I actually used it! I couldn't believe how much it holds!! Also, I've put a ton of things "hanging" on the handles and when no one was in it, it didn't tip over like most strollers do!
We had no problem folding up the stroller for the bus ride. We saw so many people with strollers fighting to close it, on the floor, it being too bulky to fit anywhere. We were so happy we had our Peg Perego.
I say buy it, you will love it!!!

I got this stroller in Feb. and love it. My children will be 1 and 4 next month and I would not live without this stroller. Everyone thought I was crazy for buying a stroller that expensive but they are all bitting their tongues. My DS loves riding on the footboard and I have nver had any problems streening it. I just went into Boston a couple of weeks ago and walked for hours and my oldest son rode on the footboard and loved it. It is a great stroller.

I think it's the perfect Disney stroller. Bought mine before our trip last May. Went for a week with Ds 20 months and DD 3.5. We didn't commando it, and never even rented a stroller for DD (who is an avid walker.) In addition to what everyone else has said, it folds up easily, can be carried on/off transportation one handed with the handle and stands on it's on when folded. Ours has made 3 Disney trips total, with the last one a week in May with DS almost 3, DD 4.5 and a 8mo DD. We rotated out with DD riding in a sling some times and it was the only stroller we needed. Ds wasn't too happy with the initial purchase (I called it an investment in making the vacation go better) and he now thinks it was well worth it. Just be careful choosing your fabric - I went with a light khaki and no amount of washing could have prevented the stains I have on it.

At the time our kids were 9 months and 5 years. It works great! :D Sometimes I find it steers a bit crazy - getting out of tight spots - you qiuckly get used to it though. Make sure if you're flying - take the hooded canopy off of it - the airline was tough on ours (it was torn is 3 different places) You should enjoy it - it's a great WDW stroller ;)

Thanks for all the reviews and advice. I am definately going to purchase this stroller and soon the price is up $20 on that website-they must be selling the 2003's out. Since its a 2003 there is only 1 choice of fabric-a rather standard looking Navy but I like that and would have chosen it over the others anyways and it seems like it wouldn't show the dirt. I was also thinking of purchasing the carry bag and I think you've convinced me viluvsdisney. I'm hoping this stroller will make several more trips to Disney as baby is only 20 months!

My DH will probably want to kill (or commit) me for buying another stroller but we are investing a lot in this trip and I really believe this stroller will be much more comfortable for the baby and more convenient for us. I'm sure it will be worth the money.
