I'm so anxious to visit, cannot wait to hear what is going on.

Any mini trip reports?

i'd like to know where you can get the list of the places for the hidden mickeys in the F&G festival
i know there was a thread a while ago but i can't be bothered to find it and as this is about the F&G festival i may as well ask here

I went yesterday. A lot of nice displays but it seemed as though they might still be in the process of setting things up. I saw some displays that looked half finished but overall it was great as always! I was a little disappointed though because I thought I read that there was going to be an Alice in Wonderland maze but I couldn't find it, just a Farmer Mickey's Maze. We tried to get into the second show for Davy Jones but at 6:30 the line was already so long and we didn't really feel like standing there waiting when we probably wouldn't have even gotten a seat in the theatre. I heard part of his first set when I was walking around Italy though and he sounded really great. ::yes::

Yes, thank you for sharing. We are so excited about going.

I heard about a Minnie Butterfly Garden. Do they have the Dog Gone Maze again?

And I heard about the Love Bugs. :smooth:

I was in the butterfly house yesterday. Very nice. Compact, but nice.
Many of the topiaries have a hidden Mickey on them.
Plus I noticed Mickeys in areas I had not seen them before -- like on the mini islands on the France/UK end.
The seem to have added LOTS of color this year to the topiaries by using what I assume to be air brushes on greenery and spanish moss.
The BEAST looks MUCH better this year. Last year he looked like a large dog. He is still the same size, but has a burlap texture like on the facial and hair areas. And he was holding a rose yesterday.
Overall, as expected, a very nice job.
The plants are newly planted. Once they grow more it should look even prettier.
The Tink topiary that was at an entrance fountain last year seems to be the same, but slightly overhauled, and on display at WS entrance. At night her clear Christmas lights are lit.

Do they have the Dog Gone Maze again?

The Dog Gone maze is the Farmer Mickey Maze this year. It was closed by the time I got around to that side of the park, I saw it on my way out. What I could see of it looked cute though. ::yes:: I really liked the Dog maze last year, it was adorable, I really wanted to take those Lady and Tramp topiaries home with me!

I was there Saturday, it was beautiful....we didn't get to look as much as we wanted because MJ was cranky...I found several of the HM's I am going to keep a list of them. I am going to go one day each weekend so I can report back if anyone has questions....I also have the booklet so if anyone wants to know anything, just ask....

MommytoMJM I also have the booklet so if anyone wants to know anything, just ask....

Is there an Alice in Wonderland exhibit? Do you know if they have AP special seating like last year?

I also read that there was supposed to be an Alice in Wonderland maze. I am bummed to hear that it is not there. Oh well. That would have been sooooooo cool! :cool1:

We were there today and there were no love bugs in sight. The season (love bugs that is) hasn't hit here yet and I've got a clean car to prove it!
It was beautiful today - we mostly went to ride Soarin', which was great. Wish we could have stayed for Davy Jones, I wanted to marry him when I was about 7 years old  but our two year old had enough so we left earlier.

Thank you all for the posts.

Hope we miss the love bugs. :goodvibes
