Any recommended Disney World ride preview videos?

We're taking our 8-year old daughter next year for her first Disney World trip, and our FP+ booking window opens in about a month.

To help pick FP+ rides, and come up with an overall touring plan, we wanted to watch previews of the rides with her.

I've had rotten luck finding things on YouTube. What I'd love to find are videos that show 10-20 seconds of the rides and give a great sense of what they'd be like.

Does anyone know of channels, or specific videos, for that?

Thank you!

Why do you just want previews instead of the entire ride? Not to mention, I can't imagine someone just filming 10-20 seconds of a ride.

I don't feel we need to see the entire ride to know if it looks fun.

Well, I don't know if *she* needs to. :)

And agreed, nobody is going to just film a few seconds. But I'm hoping there are "trailers" of the rides, either individually or combined into longer MK, EP, etc. videos.

I've never encountered such a thing, and I watch ride videos on YouTube all the time. You probably want to watch full-length ride videos, though. Knowing Splash Mountain is a nice, funny boat ride does you no good if you don't also know there's a 50-foot drop along the way with scary audio-animatronics along the lift hill.

when that happens where I work.... you can carry over 10 days to the following year or get paid out. Some do this intentionally for the extra money for Xmas.

I think a "trailer" is not going to be helpful if your daughter has a specific reason you need to see the previews. "Fun" is subjective, especially if your child either likes or dislikes drops, heights, darkness, etc.

My DGD is 15 now, and we still cannot take her on a roller coaster, but she is fine on Test Track. Speed is great, loops and drops? Not so much.

I think you would be helped more if you tell us what your child likes, or if she has any sensitivities, and then we can make suggestions that you then can go screen for yourself.

What to fastpass and what you may want to try riding I think are 2 different things. I always tell friend to fastpass what is important to you but that's a little harder if you don't know what is available.

If you want some help with recommendations of what usually has the longest, you wish you fastpassed rights, we need a little more information on what types of rides you might do elsewhere. Are you coaster fans? do you like drop rides? are you fond of halloween? how tall are your child(ren) will help us know what they can't get in. How old they are will help us tell you which younger oriented rider rides tend to be longer lines.

I understand not wanting to see the whole ride, I've only been to the world once--at that time with children too young for any sort of thrilling ride. Now we're planning our second trip and it can be a challenge to decide if it's going to be "OK" without ruining a surprise. I don't mind watching a full video of Barnstormer, but I don't want to see SDMT--instead I have to trust word of mouth and the boards.

There is a book that i got my boys which is written by kids for kids -- it gives a brief review of the ride and they have kids comments about the ride. This might be a win-win because she can read up and hear about Disney rides from kids her own age, It is a birnbaums book. it even has spots in the back to get stamps when you visit the countries at Epcot.

other than reading the book I guess youtube is probably the best place for actual video for the rides. We personally enjoy watching most if not all of the ride video.
