Any Recommendations for Park Days?

I'm a seasoned WDW traveler, but we will be leaving a week from today for our first DLR family vacation. I've been reading everything and have been hemming and hawing over stuff, trying to do it on my own but I could use some seasoned veteran's advice on where's the better park to start out our mornings.

Background: We are traveling with another family. 4 adults and 2 kids (both kids are 9). We are staying offsite at Ayres Orange. We have a 3 day PH ticket, so we'll have one MM. We'll be using ART for transportation. We're all early risers - the only hold up will be the ART schedule!

Our park days will be Aug 25 (Sat), Aug 27 (Mon), and Aug 28 (Tues). We'll be in San Diego prior to coming to DLR (we're planning on hanging out at the beach, relaxing at our pool, and we won't be going to Sea World or the Zoo)

On Saturday the kids will be attending a YES Animation class from 10am-1pm. Us Moms are planning on attending with them, and the Dads will tour (and are under strict instructions to pick up FPs for us!)

Saturday, August 25 (Park Hours 8am-11pm)
SoCal APs blocked
DCA - APEE
DL - MM
Attending YES Class from 10am-1pm
Magical 9:30pm
Fantasmic 9 & 10:30
WOC 9 & 10:15

Monday, August 27 (Park Hours 9am-10pm)
All APs unblocked
DL - APEE
Magical 9:30
WOC 9 & 10:15

Tuesday, August 28 (Park Hours 9am-10pm)
All APs unblocked
DCA - APEE
DL - MM
Magical 9:30
WOC 9 & 10:15

How would you handle park touring? Go to DCA on Saturday, at least for the morning? Go to MM on Tuesday? Would going to WOC on Saturday be best? We're okay missing Fantasmic if it means a better time to see WOC. Any other thoughts?

I know things are going to be busy while we're there, with the APs opening up. Just trying to stay ahead of the crowds if it's at all possible! Thanks for your suggestions!

Well I definitely think that maybe avoiding DCA when the APs first become unblocked would be a good idea because a lot of people who haven't been able to see the park will want to run and see Cars Land. You can always get a feel for the park when the AP block is lifted and see if you want to stay there for a long time.

I know you are willing to miss out on Fantasmic! But I really think you should give it a shot, it's an amazing show (unless you have seen it already) compared to WDW version (which DL's version is much better)

WOC is a must too! I would see it maybe on one of the weeknights, since weeknights I think may be less crowded during that time though I am not sure. either way I would try to see both those shows!

Are you going to see Aladdin? It's a good show at DCA! :)

HOP! HOP! HOP! The distance between parks is like walking from MK to the ferry ramp.

In the past we have staked out a spot for Fantasmic about two hours early. Parked our blanket and ate a picnic dinner and squeezed in a nap. As soon as it was over we booked it to WOC with our Fast Passes. You can do both and it's worth it!
