Any recommendations for lower rates in June?

We are going to WDW May 31 to June 7, then will have 4 more days that we'd like to spend at USF.

We went about 3 years ago, and stayed at Portofino for about $185 a night -- that was with the Entertainment book rate.

I've been reading here about how the rates are way up now, and lo and behold, the BEST I could do was $249 per night at Hard Rock, which comes with the Stay 4, Play Free plan. Portofino was $324 a night, and Royal Pacific was not available (?).

I haven't called AAA to see if they have any other deals, but I didn't see anything on their website.

Anyone know of any other ways to get a lower rate for June?

Hi Deb,

You could give www.hotelkingdom.com a try. Also try expedia sometimes they have decent rates. I'm thinking for your dates you will most likely not do much better than the rate stay and play you already found.

I just looked and hotel kingdom does have RPR available your dates for $224.00 a night. (minus the tickets)

There is also a $211.65 rate at HRH on the Universal website. When you type in 6/7-10. It seems once you add the saturday night to it all the rates jump.

Good Luck! :)

Give the AAA code a try -- it was the lowest rate available for our trip in May to PBH. Our rate for a Bay view king is 242 -- not great but better than paying full price and it was lower than the stay 3 rate. Just go to the Loew's site, select the hotel you want and put AAA in the promotional code box. Good luck

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, Jessica!!!!

I went to hotelkingdom.com, and booked Royal Pacific -- even better than the $224 rate!! There was a $ symbol, and it said that this is the "best rate on the Internet Guaranteed". It offered a 20% off Special Rate, for $724.80 total, which comes to $181.20 per night (excluding resort fees and taxes)!!! WOOOOO HOOOOO!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm going to do the Universal Bonus Pass -- Buy 2 days, Get 3 days free for $99.95 per person.

So, for the 4 of us, the total comes to $724.80 (hotel), $399.80 (tickets) = $1124.60.

The best AAA could do was $352 per person for Hard Rock (hotel and tickets) = $1408.00.

So, I saved $283.40!!

I wonder why both AAA and the Universal site lists Royal Pacific as not available during those dates, but I could get them on hotelkingdom.com??? Hopefully, it's because hotelkingdom.com has a block of those rooms already reserved. I'd hate to think that hotelkingdom.com is promising me something that they really don't have?

Anyone else have any experience with hotelkingdom.com? Please reassure me!!!

Well, I can't reassure you about Hotelkingdom (because I've never used them), but I can reassure you about the hotel availibility. I check on RPR and HRH rates often for upcoming trips. Some days there is plenty of availibility, some days there are no rooms available. I think it just depends on what day or time that I am checking and if their system has been updated or not. :confused3 Maybe that's a little consolation for you? ;) :flower:

I am booked thru hotelkingdom...3 more days!!! I called RPR to confirm and my ressie thru HK was there!! Hopefully all will be fine...HTH.

I'm glad it worked for you Deb! :) Hotelkingdom is very reliable and has been used by many. My girlfriend booked using them for next week, when noone showed availablity, they did.

You got a great $ Have Fun! :)
