at VWL. I know there are no "official" views but, as this will be our first stay at the resort, I wondered what to request, if anything. We are staying in a studio. I really would like a bit more to see than trees, if that is possible there.

There are a handful of rooms that face the quiet pool and Wilderness Lodge. Some people like them, but they are tough to get since there are so few. Beyond that, you've got your choice of

- Trees
- Trees with a hint of the lake in the background
- Trees, with a view of a landscaped dumpster if you look down for it (considered a "dreaded" view, for reasons I'll never understand.)

If your goal is to avoid view of trees, you might want to consider one of the other properties :)

We always request high floor, lake-side. But it really doesn't matter all that much. The views are much more similar than different. If being close to elevator is important to you, I'd prioritize that over view.

NewDCLGuy is correct--it's pretty much tree views at VWL. That being said, I concur that asking for a pool view, third floor or higher, is the best to be had. The pool isn't noisy, and you can catch glimpses of the lake for the EWP and even see some of the higher fireworks from Wishes. For me, however, it's not the room views which make VWL appealing; it's the relative serenity and proximity to MK via the boat. Good luck.

NewDCLGuy said exactly what I say about VWL, you get trees, trees or more trees. Sometimes a glimpse of the pool or the lake, but mostly just trees. I agree with sleepydog25. If you aren't that eager for a view of trees, stay elsewhere.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I guessed it was trees, trees and trees but thought there was just a chance of something different. Last time we stayed at BWV we requested a pool view. What we got was a tree view with a glimpse of the pool.

So I will request a third floor (or above) pool view and see what happens.

I really appreciate your input and time.
