Any recent stays at The Anaheim hotel?

We got a really good rate at this hotel for October.

We have actually stayed here before. We know it's close. We liked the pool. The rooms were nothing special. But it was an adults only trip then and we literally spent hardly anytime in the room.

We will be with our kids this time. I started to look at YouTube reviews and I found reviews from 2018/2019 that were less than favorable. A lot of them actually. One by the DIS folks..

However many of the recent reviews on trip advisor, Yelp, google, etc are all really positive.

I can deal with out dated rooms as long as they are clean. I stay at best westerns and holiday inns on the regular for work. I just need clean and no bugs.

Stayed there last January and it was pretty good. I had a dog-friendly room and it even had a little enclosed patio. I'd stay there again.

I have friends who stayed there earlier this month and thought it was great. The staff had discovered some kind of water/plumbing issue in the room they had been assigned before they arrived and gave them a free upgrade to a much bigger room.

So, that could be an indication that there's some work needed in some of the rooms (or it could be a one-off situation), but I thought it also spoke well to the hotel that they noticed and addressed the situation before the guests even arrived and gave them an upgraded experience free of charge.
