I'm having trouble finding any recent reviews of San Angel Inn.

Are they out there and I'm just not finding them in my search?
Any comments from recent diners?

Thanks!

Pretty please? :goodvibes

There must be someone out there who has eaten there more recently than a year ago...but if so, I can't seem to find your post?!

Hi - we ate there a few weeks ago. I am doing a food report and have not gotten to that portion yet but here is some basic info.

The food is spicy. I like spicy and I found it spicy. My husband hates spicy and had a hard time with his gut after 1/2 of the app he ordered.

We ordered two app's to share and they were the smallest portions of food I have ever seen at any restaurant at WDW. First time I really felt ripped off and the prices were on par with a 2TS app, not a 1TS location. Literally could fit both corn cakes in my hand. The two adults with us just ordered a larger version of the kids taco platter and said the flavor was not the best for any of it. Two at our table were kids and I think they got the chicken tenders so nothing special there. The waiter was rude, once he found out two of us were only going to order app's.

The salsa is that same BBQ flavored stuff they have at La Cava and I am not a fan.

Packed in like sardines once seated also, but we did get a 40 minute wait for a walkup at 6:30 p.m. with a table of 6 so that has to count for something.

You can get an avocado marg. there which is the only highlight our table had to say and that was because only one person ordered it! Will not go back again unless it is just for drinks and get the discount with the TIW card you cannot get at the cave next door.

Hope that helps.

I went for lunch earlier this week and loved it :)

I was not on a dining plan and paid OOP with a tables in wonderland discount.

I was 'solo' for this meal and was given a two-top table by the waters edge, great location and I was able to view the boats going by.

I had tostados with pork but I can't seem to find it on the online menu :confused3 It was a great dish, spicy (I love spicy food though so for me it was perfect) but it might not be to everyone's taste, washed down with a passionfruit margarita. I personally found the appetiser enough for a main, but I have been on a diet since the new year so am unable to eat the amount of food I used to.

Had a great lunch and wouldn't hestiate to go there again.

Hi! We always have this restaurant on our list of must do. I just made reservations a few hours ago for our trip in May and this was first. The food is good but the atmosphere is great. However it is quite dark to read the menu. We have never had a bad meal and service is always above average I would recommend San Angel Inn.

We had the worst servc?/meal of any disney restaurant I have ever been to and I grew up being blessed to visit disney @ least every year. My DH and I went this November. We were never given chips or salsa, before my DH had taken a bite of his salad they were serving our meals. I had the Pollo a las Rajas and it was bland and void of flavor minus creamed onions! blah! The server never came by to check on us and I didnt eat more than two bites. I had been wating for years to go to this restaurant as DH and I love to travel to unique places in Mexico to try the food and experience the culutre. Still feel like calling up WDW to complain... The Jap Margarita in the tequilla bar is perfection!

I have a a ressie first week of feb. i usually write my restaurant experiences. will let you know. :goodvibes
