We are AP holders and really enjoy
Legoland. We'll probably go again after Christmas, maybe even for NYE. I agree with PP. Go before your oldest outgrows it.
We always stay in Orlando and drive 45 mins to Legoland. We've never found a hotel in Winter Haven that's worth the money. On a weekend, we go to LL one day, then hit Disney Springs before heading home the next day.
Food inside LL is universally awful and even more overpriced than WDW. We bring in Publix subs or go to Ruby Tuesdays or Perkins just outside the park.
At the start of your day, head to the back of the park. Do the driving school and boating school and work your way forward.
Sign the oldest up for the Mindstorm class at the beginning of the day. Quality experience. If you are fans of the
Lego Movie, see the 4-D show. Check times guide and make sure you're going to the right show with Emmet and Wyldstyle. Meet them after the show (I think this experience remains the high point of DS4's life).
If you're going on a weekend, check in advance. There may be fireworks that time of year. Short but fun.
Your Lego lover will love the stores in the front of the park.
LL is running several Black Friday specials. Subscribe to their newsletter ASAP. You might find something that works for your trip.
