Evening all,

We've been hunting high and low for a nice hotel for the last two nights of our holiday, and one of the first ones we found, LBV Resort Village & Spa, keeps drawing us back, with a rate of £170 ish when booked direct. One bed suite with full kitchen, jetted bathtub in the bedroom, free parking and great facilities on site.

Does anyone have a reason why we shouldn't stay there? :confused3

Not unless you don't have a car.

My mum and dad stayed there for our wedding. Was brand new then so don't know how it's aged but big condos with all you could need.

Over the road from a walmart and there's a (admittedly not particularly good) outlet village right next to it.

Only problem like I say is there's not that much else near but if you have a car it's pretty good :)

It's dead handy for Disney though, if you're off property it's a good location. And whilst the outlet next door isn't the best it has an Old Navy outlet so worth the trip for me!

We have stayed there several times and always had a great stay! Clean and spacious!!!!

Have stayed here - nothing wrong with it at all.

Would also recommend Cypress Pointe Resort - condo is bigger and is closer to DTD. We are staying here for a 3rd time. Its also slightly cheaper. :thumbsup2

Some great suggestions guys much appreciated :thumbsup2

Looked at everything, decided to stick with the LBV Resort Village & Spa as it has everything we need, where we want it and at a decent price.

If you go to the Lake Buena Factory Stores website you can print the discount booklet for the mall next to the resort.

It really is a poor mall/outlet place though. We went and left after about 10 minutes up to the premium outlet I drive :)

It has a Carter's and osh kosh though. I was the same first time we went we just drove around the car park didn't even get out. This year we spent a few $100 there.

We looked in the Carters actually, they had the same stuff Macy's had in their sale except it was cheaper in Macy's.

There was also a 'ghetto' disney outlet which also sold Dora the Explorer stuff??!!

The only downside for me are the cleaners. As they are condos you don't get regular cleaning. We paid extra for two cleanings. The first day they were supposed to clean we came back from the parks at 7pm and they hadn't cleaned yet!! i called down to reception and copmplained as we wanted showers and dinner so it was too late now. they rescheduled for the next day. The cleaners turned up at 8pm!! and tried to insist they get in to clean (we were in the middle of eating dinner!) I eventually told them to go speak to reception but they were very rude.

The following day they cleaned at about 5pm. For the rest of the trip we were discovering things that had been removed from our room. Things like boxes for things we had bought that were in the wardrobe of our bedroom they treated as rubbish. They also removed mine and my husbands towels that we had brought from home.

We called reception who said they would recover the towels. For the rest of the holiday we spoke to about 5 different managers all who promised to do something but didn't. Our last day one manager finally gave us the value of the towels in cash (still made us pay for the cleaning though!) and then commented oh this happens a lot one lady lost her purse which she had left in a box.

It is a nice resort and a great location but my advice would be don't let the cleaners in do it yourself.

This doesn't fuss me too much as we're only there two nights after three weeks in a villa - i take it they do clean the condos between visitors though?
