Any reason to FP+ or purchase dining package for Fantasmic?

We will have two wheelchairs in our party. Are the wheelchair sections of the FP+ or dining package any better or easier to access?

Thanks!

I did the dining package a year ago, before FP+ came out. At the time, there wasn't really an advantage other than not needing to get in line 90 minutes before the show. All of the wheelchair/ECV viewing areas are along the top tier of the seating. I was just shown to the wheelchair parking area of the section for the dining.

I think (but don't take my word for it, I've been wrong more times than I like to admit) that they have changed the reserved seating. But if they haven't, the only advantage is you are slightly more likely to have the wheelchairs together. The top row has short benches, then space for 2 wheelchairs, then more short benches. So, I could foresee the possibility that the first available spots would be on opposite ends of a bench.

This is a picture of the wheelchair seating the previous poster described. It is the same across the whole amphitheater.

The top row is wheelchair spots, plus benches (one companion spot for each wheelchair/mobility device).

The next rows have blue paint lines, designating them as handicapped seating. That is where the rest of your party can sit, along with guests with disabilities who do not have mobility devices.

We have found that the wheelchair seating at Fantasmic is favored by ECV users and the CM's like to put them in those spots. In fact, once we were asked if my son could get out of his wheelchair and sit on the benches, because all of the spaces were taken up by ECV users. Um, no ..... he cannot walk. They did make one of the ECV users move and park their scooter elsewhere for us to be able to have a place.

But, we now have a better strategy. If you know what evening you will want to see Fantasmic, check and see if there is a 2nd show offered. We ALWAYS go to the 2nd show now. Wheelchair users don't have to wait in that huge line for the 2nd show and are taken up to the seating area before the line is let in. Plus, the 2nd show is never full. A lot less hassle and we always get a good seat. If you are lucky, you can ask a CM to take you down to the wheelchair seating down front. Yes ... it exists and you will get wet!

Thank you blondie and all! We will save our FP and go to the 2nd show.
