Any Reason to do Online Checkin at HHI?

We're arriving at HHI next Sunday, probably around 6pm. Today is the day I am able to do online checkin and I am wondering if there is any benefit to doing so? We have a 1BR reserved and the only request I have is an "upper floor". Since there are so few 1BR's and we are arriving "late", is my request even going to matter?

I've done online check in twice at WDW and I didn't notice anything different either time. There was a separate line, but it was staffed by the same CM's as the regular line. Other than the fact that our KTTW cards were already printed, it didn't seem any quicker. I'm just wondering if I should even bother.

Don't know about online check-in but here is info on the 1 bedroom locations:

All Lodge (Buildings 11 and 12) accommodations are lock off 1BR and Studios. There are a total of 16 1BR and 16 Studios in the lodge. The remaining 5 1BRs and 5 Studios are located beneath the GV's in buildings #16,18,19, 28 and 30.

I don't think it will be a busy time when you arrive so regular check should go quickly. Even when we've checked in with some people ahead of us at HHI, their CMs are very quick and efficient. Aside from your cards being preprinted, that little bit of time saved is probably only benefit in doing online check in.

Have a great trip :goodvibes

Also, the CMs are so nice and friendly that I'd rather do face-to-face check-in than on-line.

My favorite 1 BRs are on the top floor of the lodge. My absolute favorite is 1138, back corner facing the inlet. 1132, also on that side, gets a little elevator noise in the bedroom. 1137 is usually the one we get-out of 8 stays, we've had it 5 times. It faces into the woods inside the resort, but there's a lovely bench facing the marsh just outside the villa.

Although I'd prefer a room near the pool, I read that the 1BR's that are NOT in the main lodge are all underneath Grand Villas. I would rather not have a GV above us which is why I requested "upper floor". If my request is met, I'm pretty much guaranteed a villa in the lodge. We've never been there so I doubt anything will disappoint us...except getting a HA room:headache:. I hate those! My kids have enough trouble keeping water in the bathtub as it is...I don't need a roll-in shower.

I don't think that there is any real advantage to online check-in, and it seems simpler overall just to check-in at arrival.

We visited HHI earlier this month. Our room was not pre-assigned, for which I am glad, as the one we were assigned, after reiterating our request, was wonderful :goodvibes. I don't know that they would ever print cards in advance (as they don't know who should have charging privileges) and I would always want to verify what credit card should be used.

Check-in is always so pleasant at that resort, and it generally goes very quickly. I would not bother with doing it online.
