just had a new piccie from the love of my life (a naturalist in India) and its one of the best ones I've ever seen,
this was taken in Kanha national park and the big tigger is the father of the cubs so it is very unusual to catch a male being involved in the babies upbringing. Mum was there but had crossed the front of the jeep just before this was taken.

OH WOW!!!! That is beautiful!! How old are the cubs?

I think he said they're about 6-8 months old - how much would you want to swim with these little guys?

What a fantastic picture. I have loved Tiger from being little thanks to my Mum. She absolutely adores them, especially white tigers.

That is so beautiful, I love tigers, thanks for sharing

Ah yes, I've still to see white tigers in the wild I'm afraid - its too darn cold!

OMG I just loooove that pic  Thanks for sharing.

We are off to India in Dec, including Khana and Bandvagargh so I really, really, really hope :wizard: we see something like this! Think I'll be needing plenty of pixiedust!!!pixiedust:

WOW

I want that picture....No! I need that picture....No! I've gotta have that picture! Blown up and framed, it would grace any wall. :thumbsup2

Tigers for me are the true Kings among cats. I love them and spend a lot of time with them at our zoo (where I do volounteer work). I'm lucky enough to be able to go behind the scenes and see them really close.

We had cubs last year and our white tigers had cubs the year before that.

India for tigers is definitely on our list too.

Aruna those pics are fantastic.
Richard - this pic is now the wallpaper on my pc at work.
Dee - you're so lucky to go, Kanha is fantastic! where are you staying and who are you travelling with? make sure you do the elephant trek in Kanha, I was about 2 feet away from a female tiger that had just had a kill and was sitting on the back of the elephant just looking down at her feet at the most amazing sight. I had really good video footage.

I'm pretty excited already! We will be staying at the Royal Tiger Resort but just fopr 2 nights as we have tried tp pack in as much as possible in just 2 weeks - including Delhi, Agra, Gwalor, Khujarajio, Orchra, Bandvagargh, Mumbai and Kanha. I just really hope we get a good view of at least one tiger, but pretty sure we'll be going again anyway as we love wildlife and went to Botswana, Zambia and Sth Africa in May and saw some amazing animals but tigers are my favourite! paw: paw:

oh you're so lucky - Botswana and namibia are next on my list of wildlife holidays. The taj mahal is truly spectacular and the story behind it made me cry, try and see it before the red fort as that is where the story ends.

What beautiful animals and what an amazing photo :sunny:

Thanks for posting your photos as well Aruna
