Any Questions for 6 yr old DD?

Dear 6yo...
I will be taking my 3 girls (3,5,6) for thier very first trip to Disney World. What are some things they must do while there and and souvenirs you highly recommend? -Beth

Dear DisneyDaz's DD,

Do you go to DL often since you live so close? Would you prefer to live close to WDW?

DH and I will be taking DS and his friend to WDW in September. What things do you recommend they should do on our flights?

What have you been learning in school? What is your favorite subject in school and why?

Have a magical day,
Stacy

What a cute idea :thumbsup2

I think I have a question that she would be perfect t answer. I have two neighbors (girls 4 and 5) that really want to go with us but will not be going. Last trip I brought them back pink Mickey ears with their names on them. Do you have any gift ideas? I plan on spending less then $20 per girl.

Maybe a charm bracelet for each one with 2-3 charms each. I got one a few years ago and my mom adds a few charms each trip. Last trip I brought one home for my friend who watched our cats-she's 7. She loved it! We bought our charms and bracelet at Downtown Disney and our hotel.

Maybe you could send them a postcard and have a princess sign it with something like "Can't wait to see you in the future!" They'd LOVE that! :lovestruc

Maybe you could bring them home masks from Epcot (and from mom-these don't cost anything!) if you're already doing some, I brought my friend one a couple years ago-she liked it! In China they even wrote her name on it in Chinese characters.

Also in China they have these small animal string puppets. I got one that was a purple unicorn. It only costs $10 and they have alot of different ones.

Hope this helps. Have fun! :Pinkbounc

Oh, that's a hard question. First I think they could have a princess meal. (Mom recs. Park Faire 1900 or Princess Storybook in Norway)

At Epcot they could look for the princesses in the World Showcase. Sometimes they're hard to find! Jasmine (and Alladin) is in Morroco. Belle and Sleeping Beauty are in the library (France)I've heard Snow White is in Germany and Mulan is in China. I haven't seen them there yet. They could go on the Norweigan (Malestrom) boat ride. They could also go on the Mexican Boat Ride-it has lots of cool :thumbsup2 fireworks at the end. I like to go in The Land go on Soarin', I like to the Nestle Junior Chef (from mom-it's really cute and you get some choc. chip cookies too!), the Living with the Land boat ride goes through a restaurant, and see the Lion King movie. In the Living Seas don't miss Turtle Talk. Crush might even talk to them! He did to me and the fish are really cool too!

MGM has good shows.-Ariel, Beauty and the Beast, And Indiana Jones and the parade. The Great Movie Ride.

AK has the BONEYARD (I think she would stay here all day) Conservation Station and Kilamanjaro Safari Ride.

MK-has alot for kids. I like Thunder Mountain! :lovestruc (she was finally tall enough to ride it Jan. 05) ToonTown. Small World. Fantasyland. The Belle show. I don't know why but I like the Winnie the Pooh Playground (in FL)

I love all the fireworks shows including Fantasmic :smickey:! I also like to ride on the monorail.

Good souvenirs-see above-Epcot masks, charm bracelets and also pressed pennies.

Have fun! princess:

No we haven't been lately but we used to go alot. Now I'm in school full time (1st grade). My mom says we are going to get new AP soon-I can't wait. I love DL especially the Alladin show at DCA-I've seen it at least 9 times. I would love to live close to WDW (and so would mom-I think)

For the plane, maybe card games or Gameboys. How about DVD's (My favorites are Harry Potter-all 4)

In school I've been doing math, journaling, writing, ocean creatures. I'm in first grade and since we are year round I'm off track right now. (off in Jan., May, and Sept.) My favorite subject is reading! I love to read! I'm reading the 4th HP book right now and Misty of Chincoteaque. (from mom-she's does really well reading-the HP books are 6 grade level and she does really well on the AR test she takes on them :goodvibes ).

Thanks for all your questions. :thanks:

Thank you for answering my questions!

I'll have to check out the Aladdin show next time we go to DCA. I have to agree with you, I'd love to live by WDW too.

Sounds good. I could bring my WDW DVDs for the boys to watch and get even more pumped about our trip. We leave just after midnight, so maybe they'll actually sleep on the plane that way they are energized for the parks.

What do you recommend we should do first after checking into our resort and turning in our AP vouchers?

That's great that she loves to read and at such a high level.

Thanks again!

I really liked your answer about sending a postcard that the princess signed. Thank you. I'm really looking forward to your answers. Have you read the book about Tinkerbell & all her fairy friends? I'm not sure what its called, but my DD just read it. She loved it. What is California Adventure like? I went to DL when I was younger & want to know about the new park. If you could please compare DL & Mk. What are your favorite & least favorite things about both.

Thanks again for all your questions. She's loved answering them. She's been a little busy the last few days and hasn't been able to get to the last few. We're leaving for Vegas in about an hour and we'll be back on the 10th. Please keep those questions coming-:thanks:

Dizneydaz's DD,

How was Vegas? What did you do? Did you see any shows? Did you stay on the Strip?

Hope your trip is safe and fun!

Stacy
