Hi, If anyone has any questions that a six year old girl could answer, please post them here. She's very articulate and opinionated. She's been to WDW 6 times since she was 2-3/4 and when she sees me on these boards she always wants to do some postings too! She's become quite the little traveler-she loves flying (more than driving). She has helped me answer a couple posting re: kids lately and she's off track for the next 5 weeks so please help me keep her busy-lol :rotfl2:

somethings that could keep her busy..
1) VMK its a virtual magic kingdom it is a very fun game to play, my brother and I play it and love it :) if you have not seen it already.. the website is www.vmk.com
2) toontown which is also fun and maybe a bit more understandable for younger children.
3) hmm not sure maybe go outside and play :yay: lol my mom always tell me to go outside and ride my bike or do something outside  lol that does not happen alot.. :rotfl2:

tell her that my brother and I say hi! :clown:

Dear 6 year old seasoned traveler, :goodvibes

We are vacationing at WDW next fall for 4 nights and five days. We have visited the parks before :cheer2: .

1- If you could decide what park and what days to visit those parks what would your choices be :listen: ?

2- Would you stick with one park for many days or would you visit each one?

3- Do you like Disney Quest?

4- Have you been to the water parks and if so, which ones and which rides did you like the best?

5- Which places were your favorite to eat at and which one is especially the very best one that you would not miss ever if you could only visit one?

6- What other places/parks would you like your parents to take you to visit in Orlando besides Walt Disney World?

7- Is it fun to fly?

8- My boys have never flown but we drove a 13 state road trip a few summers ago when they were 6 and 8 years old from Georgia all the way up to New York state and back down a different way to Florida- how many states have you visited and did you fly or drive?

Thank you for helping us plan our vacation :woohoo: .

How's that Mom? :surfweb:

Dear 6 yo DD,

I also have a 6 yo DD (and a 3 yo DD). I bet you sure could answer a lot of questions for me. We have never been to WDW before, but we are going in October. We have been to Disneyland and California Adventure...so we do know a lot of the rides.

MK is a lot like Disneyland, so I know a lot of the rides that my kids will like there, but I still have one question for you about MK. What are your 3 favorite rides at the Magic Kingdom?

Gosh...I will have to think of more questions and maybe DD could ask you some tomorrow.

Thanks

I couldn't help but notice your signature. My name is Suzanne (I assume that is your full name as well, but could be wrong), my DH is Jon (spelled the same way), I had a 3 year old DS (not DD) and my DD will be 6 in June. Anyways, I thought the coincidences were funny.
Suzanne

Dear DD,

I am taking my 6 year old to disney for his first trip in Feburary. What should he bring besides clothes to the park and what do you think about him using a stroller?

Michele :cheer2:

Has she been to the breakfast or lunch at Cinderella's castle? If so, tell me about it! We're considering it for DD who will be 4 by the time we go.

Dear 6 yo DD

I am a six yo DS. I have been to MK once but didn't get to see & do everything. What rides should I make sure we go on this time? Have you ever been to Donald's Breakfastosaurus? Also, my sister will be 4. Do you think she would like one of the princess meals? She loves everything that has to do with them. Thank you for helping us. That is so very nice of you.

Dear Disney 6 year-old,
Hello, I have a DD that is now 4 but will be 5 on our next trip in August. However, she is very petite (small) for her age. She is only 38 or 39 inches tall right now. I think she has to be at least 40 inches tall to ride a lot of the rides. Can you suggest some rides that she might like and be able to go on. Also, it is probably important to tell you that she is also a bit of a fraidy cat.
What were your favorite things to do at each of the parks when you were only 4?
Thanks for your help! Renee and Kylee

Actually Susan...and DH is Jon (Jonathan), DD6 is Ally, and DD3 is Rebecca. Very funny!

Wow-thanks for all the great questions! A little about my DD. She's petite. 43" and 40#. She's in the first grade and loves to read. She's currently reading the fourth Harry Potter book. Okay here goes with the answers:

To Daydreamer:
(non-edited, only spelling corrected)

1. You should visit MK on Monday. Epcot on Tuesday. AK and MGM on Thurs. But if you go early it's better!
2. I'd visit each one so you don't get bored with just one. (they won't change the rides everytime). :rotfl2:
3. I haven't been there, but if I go next trip I'll let you know.
4. Yes, I've been to the water parks. I like Typhoon Lagoon :sunny: The wave pool is a big hit! Also take the lazy river to the kiddy area. At BB I liked Teamboat Springs :) :) and Snow Stormers (mom here-she loved Snow Stormers-I thought she would come off of it scared but she wanted to go again!) I also liked the two kid's areas. The smaller one and the older kids area. Typhoon Lagoon is my favorite. Oh yeah, I love the mini donuts!
5. In the parks, Park Faire 1900 (dinner) is my favorite! Because the food is really good and um I like the characters. On time Suzy danced with me! :cloud9: Outside the park I like to eat at Bahama Breeze. Last time I REALLY liked the chicken.
6. I have no idea about other parks, but, I liked Sanibel Island-there's lots of shells and the water is WARM unlike some beaches! :yay:
7. It is really FUN to fly. If you are flying on Song (which was my favorite) you're in luck! It has a TV in front of you!
8. For all the states I've visited I have did both. But I visited Las Vegas and of course, Florida and Atlanta. (note from mom-we've driven to Vegas, flown to Florida with stopover in Atlanta.)

Suz72

There's lots of choices but one of them is Thunder Mountain!-it's soooo fun and spinny, I love (riding in) the back.! :woohoo: Another ride I like is the monorail (not actually in the park). Another one is Buzz Lightyear-it's really fun to see how much points you can get. One time I got 102,000 and everybody was staring at my score! :cool1: My third favorite is Haunted Mansion-it's so spooky and gives me ideas for Halloween! :teeth:

Thanks for asking, Danielle

What are your kids favorites?

To Silverbelle,

You should bring a mister fan (if it's hot), a bathing suit for playing in the water (again if it's hot :sunny:-a towel is good too!) autograph book, snacks-I like to bring cereal, a camera (disposable), and that's about it.

Bring the stroller (sometimes) (From mom-we've taken a stroller on every visit. Since Danielle is still small enough to fit, I'm not ready to give up the convenience of the stroller along with the possibility of having to carry her-she's only 40# but it's a back killer to carry her if she falls asleep. We're taking the stroller this Sept. but I'm afraid this may be the last time we do-she's almost outgrown it.)

To Christina

My favorite non character meal is the McDonalds at Animal Kingdom-she doesn't know why. (from mom-she also really likes the sticky wings at Kona). She also likes 50's Primetime-the waitresses, well one waitress, let me tell one table a joke! She did a joke that they were my cousins! :rotfl2:

To GrisGris
No I haven't done Cinderella's Castle yet. I have done Park Faire with Cinderella and the Princess breakfast (in Norway) sometimes with Ariel. They were really nice. Park Fair is my favorite. (from mom-we've done PF twice and PS 3 times)

Inhsmom-DS
You should go on Buzz Lightyear, Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain (if it's not nightime (cold)) Tommorowland Transit Authority, Peter Pans flight, Haunted Mansion, Alladins magic carpet, Tiki Room, Pirates pirate: , Mickey's Country House, Mickey's Philharmagic :wizard: .

No, I haven't been to Donald's Breakfastosaurus but I've been to lunch at the McDonalds and got a squirting dino that was fun! My favorite thing at AK is THE BONYEARD! Dig, dig, dig! I also like to go on the slides and get myself soaking wet under the waterfall in the cave :rotfl2: . I went on Dinosaur last time and liked it! I wasn't too scared :thumbsup2 .

I think your sister (4) would love to have a princess meal! I like Park Faire (1900) with Cinderella (from mom-if you want maximum princess- do Storybook in Norway)

To Naisy (Renee and Kyle)

Danielle is also petite. 43" and 40#. She's only been able to ride some of the rides in the last year. Here's her thoughts:

Epcot-I like Malestrom boat ride, it's not too scary. Mexican boat ride. Innoventions. Doing the masks at the World Showcase. Journey into Imigination with Figment. Turtle talk with Crush. Doing things at Kidcot. Lion King movie. Nestle Junior Chef :thumbsup2 :) Playing in the water fountains if it's hot :sunny: .

MK-Peter pan, Dumbo, Alladin's Carpet, TTA, train, Small World, Carousel, Mickey's Toontown Fair, Jungle Cruise, Tree House, Poohs Playground.

MGM-Beauty and the Beast Show, Lights, Motor Action Show, Great Movie Ride, Ariel's Show.

Animal Kingdom-Boneyard, Triceratops Twirl, Conservation Station, Maharajah Jungle Trek (see the tigers), Safari Ride, LION KING SHOW :Pinkbounc , Jungle Jammin' Parade, Tree of Life, It's a Bugs Life, looking at the animals.

Oh my, how cute is she princess: ? I'm glad to hear that they won't change the rides every time that I visit :rotfl: - I like to have the same rides to look forward too! Mom- you have to print off this thread when it's finished and show it to her some day when she is old enough to appreciate how sweet she was at 6 years old. :wave2:

Thank you so much for all your help. Out of the ones you suggested at MK, we had only been to 4 of them. We didn't know anything about the Boneyard at AK. Now we have a great list of new things to try. We have never heard of Park Faire or Storybook in Norway so we will be getting some information on those too. thanks for all your help. My sister and I really appreciate it. My mom thinks you are a very sweet & intelligent girl. Hope you have fun on your next trip. Thanks to your tips, I know we will!

From Mom-I've been wanting to try VMK so based on your rec. we will! Also, she has been on toontown and loves it. The neighbor's had it for awhile but I'm not ready to pay $70/yr yet. Maybe when she's a little older. She likes the Neopets website right now. :goodvibes

From DD-I LIKE :goodvibes to go outside when my friends can come over. We play Indians, freeze tag, sidewalk chalk-my friend and I made a big sidewalk hop scotch and it went up to 151 (squares)!, hide and seek, handball, and more! I don't always get to go outside when I want to because sometimes mom has to watch me and she doesn't always have that much time (Mom-DD likes to play in the front yard more than in the backyard). That's it.

:thanks: :disrocks:

Your welcome and I do plan to print this out later. Oh, my mom (DD Grandma) says I don't have a life when I told her I have over 340 posts-she just doesn't get it :confused3 If you haven't checked www. allearsnet.com for WDW info, do. That's where I've gotten most of my info since 1998. :grouphug:

Thanks :thanks: so much for everyone's questions, we can't wait to get some more. :cloud9:

What a cute idea :thumbsup2

I think I have a question that she would be perfect t answer. I have two neighbors (girls 4 and 5) that really want to go with us but will not be going. Last trip I brought them back pink Mickey ears with their names on them. Do you have any gift ideas? I plan on spending less then $20 per girl.
