Any PS3 system deals going on?

Do any stores have any PS3 deals going on right now?

My friend's DH just announced that he wants one.

She is scrambling to find a deal on the system alone or a bundle.

Anyone got any info?

Best Buy and Costco had bundle deals....I'm not sure if they're still going on but it's worth a try.... good luck!

Both Costco and Best Buy's bundles aren't that good of a deal. They include a retail $50 HDMI cable that you can get online with a little research for $10-$15 (according to DH).

We haven't been able to find any deals on just the system. The bundles usually have games that we aren't interested in either. We ended up buying the 299.99 PS3 at Best Buy on Monday night and DH has been looking for any new deals before we open it.

I got a PS3 for DH for christmas this year, and I just bought the system for $299, after doing lots of research. The retail price is the retail price for the systems. If you want it you will pay at least $299 unless you buy used. The bundles that come with games are typically usesess for a grown man as the games are geared to kids. The bundles I have seen without games are not a good deal in my opinion b/c I would never buy a $99 HDMI cable.

I found one on line at Walmart in a bundle that came with the Batman game that my son wanted, another game, the batman blueray movie, another remote, and blueray remote for $369. Since I would have to buy another controler and that game( each $50) it was a good deal.

I had checked the bundles online at places like WMart, but everyone is out of all but the most expensive ones. My friend was looking for the 120GB system.

I am afraid at this late date in the game she is stuck paying reg price for the system unless she lucks up and tomorrow's sales give her a break.

Sony style has a $50 discount if you buy an accessory and a 3 or 4 year warranty with it. Not as good as the BF bundles but not bad if you worry about it breaking.
