Decided this weekend to go to Disney to celebrate my 40th. Does not appear there are any deals on rooms or dining if I book now, am I correct? We want to arrive 1/25 and stay 4 nights! THANKS!

Sorry but it looks like only AP rates, FL Res rates and Military rates are left for January now. Can you use any of those? Here's what mousesavers shows was offered and when the other deals expired:

Sorry - their training is very specific - they are NEVER suppose to mention discounts. HOWEVER, if you ASK about a specific discount "is XYZ offer still in effect?" they will GLADLY tell you.

SOMETIMES, depending on the CM, you will get specific information when asking a more general question such as "are ther any discounts that would affect MY SPECIFIC dates?" so give that a try as well.

Disney is a business - businesses must show profit. So it's not that CM's don't want to help you save, but it 's not good business for their employees to mention 'discounts' to every call - without being asked that is.

If you go to the Disney website and click on special offers, then on ROOM ONLY, it will show you the discounts for Jan and Feb. Between 20%-35% depending on resort. It needs to be booked by Jan. 31, 2012. I just double checked, so it's good.

Yes, you're absolutely correct, it's there! D'oh! That will teach me to look at what's posted without checking the actual WDW site, huh. Sorry to OP, ad thanks to momtolots for keeping us current on the deals

If you decide to go to WDW twice in 2012, get an annual pass. It will probably save you money based on the AP rates right now if you know you're coming back later in the year as well. You can book rooms without actually needing the AP in hand, you'll just need to have it by check-in time.

I don't see any January deals either, I called to confirm and she said there are only the Feb March deals.

I said the same thing. I did the on line chat on the reservation site as well as called and spoke to 3 people and they all said it was a Canada special offer. I want to go the end of January but don't want to without a discount.

The 4 times I called and used code 049 I was told I had to live in Canada and I couldn't book unless I was a Canada resident. If someone else has luck, let me know as we really want to take advantage of a January discount.

I just booked online and it didn't say anything about having to be a Canadian Resident? There might be a typo online when it comes to the promo code displayed. Or it might be a glitch with disney site that doesn't verify address with promo restrictions. Who knows, who cares???? I would suggest just booking your trip online.
