We're thinking about joining the masses (although I hope that is wrong) for a Free Dining trip 9/25-10/1 (well, I'm thinking...have yet to convince DH  ).

Anyways, I'm wondering if anyone has made ADRs for that timeframe and if any were difficult to get. I'm afraid that since the offer is "free dining" - it'll be hard to get table service reservations.

Thoughts? Comments?

I would not wait much longer before making ADRs since the places will be pretty booked (you can make ADRs without having booked your vacation yet - this is what we did. Just cancel if you decide to not vacation then).

We are going the week before and the only place I found very limited was LeCellier (no surprise there!). 4:30 and 8:30 were the only times left on our chosen day. Pretty much anything else was wide open but I made our reservations shortly after the deal was released.

I made ADRs for our trip the second week of September and I the only place that I did not get the exact time I wanted was 'Ohana...I wanted 7:30, but only 7:40 was available  .....just kidding! FYI I made my ADRs about a week ago...

I made my ADRs on about April 6th and got every time I asked for, except for one which was 5 minutes off. I almost laughed out loud.... the woman was just SO apologetic about not getting the exact time I wanted.

I would make ADRs sooner rather than later, if only because every time this question gets asked in some form, everyone advises calling soon. So we know that most DISers will be calling soon anyway. :) I figured that I might as well have them - if I change my mind next week, I can call and see about a change, but if the change isn't possible, then at least I have *somewhere* to eat that I like.......

I am going to WDW Sept 26 to Oct 6 and am using the DP. I made my ADR's yesterday and had no problem getting the times and restaurants that I wanted.
However, please note that in the Magic Kingdom on the nights when there is the MNSSHP, all of the sit down restaurants are closing at 6pm. In fact I got the last open dinner times for both Tony's and Crystal Palace (Oct 2nd and 5th).
:wizard:

We are going that exact week! I didn't have any problems, but made mine all at the exact 180 days. Iwould make them ASAP if you are planning on it.
