taking my DS and friend with us to world next month They have been to parks numerous times, they know the lay of the lands and and I trust them. I want them to be able to use the dining plan as they like. DH & I will probably meet up with them few times during the day but if they want to do a TS will it be a problem for them?

can they be served without an adult?

Your DS should not have any problems. I have let my kids go off on their own and use the DDP with no problems. I just ask them to give me all the reciepts so I can track their use.

We had some friends with us last Aug. and we let 3 girls, ages 15, 13 & 11 eat alone together at Alfredo's. They LOVED being able to be on their own for a little while.

Like you, our dd15 has been to WDW about 10 times and 3 of those were with the ddp. She knew exactly how to handle it and did with no problems.

If it is the boys first time using the dining plan, I would suggest that you go over with them what they can order before you let them go off (i.e. at TS, appetizer, entree, dessert and beverage and at CS, combo, drink and dessert).

Just because I had to go over with my Dad who would say things like, "I'm not going to get a drink." Why Dad? "Well, it's $2.19." It's included Dad. "Really! Are you sure?" I'm Positive.

The first time we used the DDP, he was very sceptical and kept "forgetting" to get desserts, drinks, etc unless I reminded him.
