Any plans for AKL DVC? Sign me up.

If DVC adds to AKL, I would buy at least 200 add-on points at AKLV! What a great way to spend points and a great vacation.

Has DVC shown any interest in AKL? AKL should have enough land to allow DVC to build.

It's probably a pipe dream, but if DVC were to ever open up AKLV, dh and I would be jostling for a place in line to add another 200 points or so!

I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish that DVC would go to AKL. We love AKL. I think its just a dream but I can dream. We would love to add on there also.

DH and I have long said we'd be first in line to add on at AKL. There is some question as to whether they would construct anything there, due to stress on the animals and the likelihood of having to close down the savannah during construction. However, we've discussed it and think they could build the units on the opposite side of the savannah and mirror them to the AKL building. They could do a hotel-style building that curves around just like the lodge to form another half-circle around the back half of the savannah.

Like many have said, the chances don't seem very good, but there is a lot of interest, so you never know!

Isn't that how they get the animals on and off of the savannah? It's my understanding that occasionally the animals must be brought in for medical purposes and such, so I wonder how much they could close in.

I agree, it probably won't happen, but sign me up too if AKL-DVC ever transpires!!!

There may be entrances at the back, but we've stayed in end rooms multiple times and that seems to be where all of the out buildings, barns and gates are. I'm not suggesting they connect the buildings, but just mirror the existing one on the opposite side, with the width of the savannah between them. That would leave both ends entirely open, which seems to be where they come and go at this point.
