Any places to swim in Cabo?

Next month I'll be on the Wonder and one of our stops is Cabo. I will be doing the Dolphin swim but before I did that I wanted to go swimming. Are there any local places to swim in Cabo? Would I have to go far?

I considered booking the resort excursion but it was pretty pricey and unfortunately the only time slot they had available was at the same time as the dolphin swim...

There are several places you can swim (well, at least get in the water). Medano beach is not far, and probably the easiest to get to. There are also several small beaches along the peninsula toward Lover's Beach, but I think most of those require a boat to get to. Could be wrong, though.

I was there in '98 (with the USN, not DCL ) and a bunch my fellow officers and I headed to Santa Maria Bay. Quick cab ride down the coast to a nice beach that didn't have anyone else there (back then) Water was crystal clear, fantastic for snorkeling.
