Any place you can't use Travelers' Checks?

We're leaving on Tues and I want to get travelers' checks for our trip, but DH says it's a waste of time and that we should just use our credit card. I'm hoping that we would use travelers' checks as a budgeting tool, and not spend blindly. I'm tempted to go ahead and get them anyway, but I wanted to be sure that they're accepted everywhere- TS, CS, shops, etc.- b/c if we weren't able to use them when we needed, DH would be ticked!!!

Can someone confirm??

In the past I have never had a problem using them anywhere at Disney. The only place you may have some issues is at the little Ice cream stands. and even those are have swipe card tool. I know that the newer TC are in the form of a credit card, you may want to look into this it may solve some problems. I usually take some cash and use my debit card or room charge.
