Any Pinewood Derby winners??

Did anyone's son win any of the Council-side District Pinewood Derbies? I know we had lots of individual Pack winners and was curious!

I won that one time in fourth grade, i think... I had my car as a bus... it was fun.

DS, 6, came in second in the DC district Pinewood Derby this year.

Does your son belong to the Great National Council (I know that I didn't get that quite right - but it's the DC area as well as Virginia and maybe Maryland?) that have the way cool Council Shoulder Patches?

My Eagle Scout son collects CSPs and JSPs and has some of the monument ones, as well as Air Force One - but he has never been able to find an Iwo Jima one (and I believe that I just murdered the spelling on that but I am too lazy to go find out, sorry!)

A lot of the National Council Scouts come clear up to our Council's camp each summer.

Yes, he is in the National Capital Area Council. I can't promise, but let me see what I can do about trying to find you an Iwo Jima patch (you didn't murder the spelling at all!!)

My son won 2 years ago but they never went further than the den. He was alittle disappointed since it was his last year as a cub scout.

I won the pinewood derby one year. I had weights (totally legal, as the car is weighed before the race) and blew away the competition. I also used lots of graphite on the wheels which mad ethe wheels fly on the track
