If you are one you'll know what I mean....

I'm a size 6 (UK, which is the smallest size you can get).

HOWEVER

I'm also only 4'11" so I actually don't appear to be that slim. Especially not undressed!

Some people say to me 'oh you're lucky to be a size 6'....those are the people that have never seen me undressed. I may wear a small clothes size but under my clothes I have a big round behind, cellulite on my legs, rolls on my stomach and everything else everyone else has!

I would definitely class myself as a slim fat person! Because for a person who wears such tiny clothes...it's surprising how much of me jiggles!!

I should add I'm neither disillusioned about my clothes size or my weight!

Can anyone else sympathise with this????

Yes!! I am slim but fat! I am 5'5" and weigh around 130, which would be a great weight if it were evenly distributed! But NO, it is all FAT around my middle (from going overboard eating while pregnant SIX years ago!!). With clothes on, I look pretty good, but without clothes---WHOA, watch out for the fat roll!!! I have been losing a little weight, so the fat roll is getting smaller, but it is still there and I wish it was NOT!! So, I can totally relate!

I hear you. That middle is my problem area also. Now that I think about it - even when I was a 96 lb. gymnast with no meat on the bones, I was still a little loose in the abs.

Ditto
I am a size 6 (US) but I am 5'2" and have very small bones. I have a poochy tummy (2 kids) and plenty of cellulite and jiggling.

I can so relate to this. After having lost a person (160 pounds), I am now wearing a size 6 and I am 5'9" - and 150 pounds. Although I feel great (and look much better obviously!) I have some real issues with my body. Nothing short of plastic surgery will help and I can't afford plastic surgery. I work out, walk and lift weights but nothing is going to get rid of the flab and loose skin. Of course, the other issue is that I now have trouble filling out my 34A bra - again nothing less than plastic surgery will solve that! If anyone has any solutions, I would love to hear them.

I can relate. I'm 4'11 also and weigh 120. However after having 2 kids by c-section, my middle isn't the best! Also being black, I'm definately curvy and even though I wear a 2 (us), I still feel like I could stand to be skinner!

I think that weight loss would change the plastic surgery from cosmetic to medically necessary. And GOOD JOB!

I'd say I'm "average" but fat. I look great in the clothing I wear but when the clothes come off I have serious flabbage and extra skin in my mid area and upper thighs.

I wear a 12 but I am 5'8" and that is just my size. If I got down to a 6 there would be nothing left of me.

I wear a 2 (and even own some 0's) but I am only 5'1" and I definately have a butt and a stomach that could use a little work. I am scary looking in a bathing suit. :earseek:

Although I am 5' 5" I still know what you mean. I learned the reason for this in my college health class... Weight isn't really that indicative of anything, it's the amount of body fat you have. You can be perfectly average in terms of your height and weight and look 'normal', but still be over-fat.

DH and I understand this and know that we both are overfat (although to most people we don't appear fat) and get frustrated if we happened to mention to parents & family that we need to eat more healthily and exercise more... they think we are exaggerating about being fat and make it seem like we are being overly critical of ourselves. So they continue to persuade us to eat over-fat, high-calorie food when we come over.

Uggh! I hate it because they make me feel like I'm acting like an overly skinny model who complains that they are fat, when it is obvious they are not. I feel like pulling up my shirt and showing them my jiggly tummy whose rolls of chubbiness are nicely hidden beneath my shirt or my cellulite-ridden butt and thighs and then ask them to tell me I'm not fat!
