Any other Sac AP owners?

Thank you all! I will definitely be doing that!!! :) We love Disneyland. Just got engaged there last month on my birthday, so it will always be a special place. Now that we have the premium AP we seriously want to go every other weekend..lol

I'm 2 hours north of you. Made it down 7 times on my last AP. DH and kids made the trip 5 times.

One time, we had SW credit that was about to expire and they came out with $49 tickets. We drove to Sac, flew to JW, went to the parks for 6 hours, and came home the same day.

My sister & her boyfriend are AP holders. She goes at least every other month, and sometimes the months in between. I would say she goes at least 8-9 times a year. She always drives (from Roseville). Fun when you just need to get away for the weekend.

We're in Dixon, in between Sacto and SF. We got passes this year and will go twice...we'd planed 4 trips but real life got in the way. It was still worth it and I think we'll renew if for no other reason than I might want to do a couple of Disney runs. We're flying down our next trip on SW; we drove down twice couple years ago and while I would do it again if I had to, it just feels easier to fly--and I'm a flying weenie.

I'm in Sac, on the border of Elk Grove. We've been on 6 trips so far and have one more planned for Sept/Oct before our passes expire in October. We've driven a couple of times, but flying is easier as long as I can get cheap flights.

I am in Elk Grove. Did you say you drove all the way just for the day? :thumbsup2

My fiance and I just purchased our AP at the beginning of this month!! We were so excited we decided to drive down to the park just for that day! We live near Sacramento!! Will probably never do that again, but I am curious if anyone else in our area is an AP holder and how often they go? :fish:

We live in the Sac area, not an AP'er yet but will be soon. We plan to upgrade our PH tickets when we go in November. Our plan is to do a total of 4 trips. 2 will be 1 week long (this November, and likely next October) with the kids, then 2 or 3 more adult only trips of just 2 or 3 days (not sure when yet, thinking February, May, September). We've never driven before but with the kids we think it might be easier & safer with the carseats, so we are attempting our November trip by car! Our adult-only trips we will likely fly down. We will probably end up driving on our October family trip next year because otherwise my son will be 2 so that's another plane ticket.

I was watching Southwest deals this summer, and I swear I never saw a $49 1-way ticket from Sac to Orange County, the cheapest I saw was $73. Might need to look into the SW credit card though for DH & I....

We're in Roseville & just got APs last year. Dh & I have premium, kids have deluxe (they don't need the discounts).

DH & I have been down for 4 trips since getting our passes, & we have another planned for October. We're still trying to figure out if we're renewing or not. I work in an elementary school as a speech therapist so I can't just go anytime...only school holidays & weekends.

Yes! We are crazy I know! Lol left last minute at 10 lol got stuck in traffic and got there at 7! Stayed till midnight then came home! It was totally worth it! But lesson learned lol

I am in Elk Grove also, on my last AP (Jan 14'-Jan 15'), I made 6 trips to the parks. Drove twice taking Daughter and all her clothes to Long Beach for school, flew the other times. Just renewed with trip last week, have a few half day scheduled after a conference in October, nothing beyond that yet as we have a 10 day WDW trip planned in December. But I am sure I will be there in January for a few days and likely next May too.

Yes! I was having the same thought when I was reading other people's posts. I never came across any $49 1-way tickets when browsing Southwest over the past 4 months. Somehow I just missed it? I came across $69 for some of the dates I was looking at, but I could never make up my mind and prices are higher now, so I think we are going to just drive for the trip I was considering flying for. Honestly flying down there for us is a treat. We can afford to go so often in part because we almost always drive. So much cheaper than buying 4 plane tickets.

We got tickets at Easter for $49 each way and at the end of May for $46 each way. Since then, the best I've found for our September trip was $71 & $79 each way.

I got most of our $49 fares in January and February for travel in March, May, June and August. After that it was hit or miss with the $49 fares. I think I did get a few of those $46 ones as well. I check SW almost every day because a lot of those fares are not advertised and just pop up. You also never know when they will disappear so you have to grab them when you see them!

My whole family are AP. We have premium. We are all massive Disney. We park and don't touch the car the whole time we are at the resort. We try and go about 6 times/ 3-4 days at a time.

We live in Elk Grove. We drive. I like the control and being able to have as much baggage as needed. It's about 5 and a half. We usually drive at night and get there int he morning. My daughter wants to fly but haven't found prices that I like for the whole family.

Exactly! I got our $49 December flights on June 2. The sale was only for 3 days and the site was down for 2 of them! It looked like this:

Off topic, but I LOVE your photos! Do you offer lessons? :D

Oh my! No. Not even in my younger years. I might have slept from 9pm-3am, drove/switch sleep, went to the parks until midnight, drove over the Grapevine and found a Motel 6. I would be fearful the driver would fall asleep after being in the parks.

I live in Natomas and I've had an AP for the past 4 years. I try to get down every other month or so, sometimes more often if I'm doing a runDisney event. I have upcoming trips in September, October, and November. Getting super excited!!

This is awesome! I always wanted to try to drive down for the day and then drive home that same evening but never ended up doing it.
