I am, for a number of reasons.

I know there is no point worrying about how well my son has done. What's written can't be changed now - but as next week's results day creeps closer there are a few twinges of concern.

For a start - it is 2 months today since my son sat his last exam. TWO MONTHS since he has picked up a pen, had a thought in his head that wasn't concerned with cricket, football, PS2, MSN, meeting his mates etc. Two months since he's had to get up at a sensible time and shower and make himself presentable.:lmao:
How hard is it going to be for him to get back into work mode? More to the point - how awful is it going to be for the rest of the family while he readjusts?

Then there are all the worries about his grades - what if he can't take the subjects he wants in sixth form?

Why is he so laid back about it all?

AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGH!:headache:

Or is it just me?

We just hope our dd has got the grades she needs to go into 6th form..

gcse's are a long way off for my kids yet

Good luck to everyone waiting on results

Good luck everyone waiting for results, we were going through the same thing this time last year and this time we are waiting on Vicki's AS results:thumbsup2

I am getting very anxious - I have 3 waiting on results: the eldest will get AS results, and the two girls are both getting GCSE results. They all seem very laid back. I really don't think my DD did enough work to do well, she seemed very chilled throughout the whole process. Everthing is very firmly crossed!

I know how you feel. Never had any worries with my DD as she always seemed on top of the work but my eldest DS was another matter!

First the worry over the GCSEs (he never seemed as tho' he did anywhere near as much work as his sister), then the worry over the A Levels (ditto) and finally the worry over his degree result (ditto again). But he has just left University with a 2:1 and a couple of job opportunities so all the worrying was for nothing! ;)

Anyway, I've promised myself not to waste time worrying about my youngest DS's first results next year...

Good luck everyone  Hope your kids get the results they need

I can't understand this - I work with a lady whose son is going into yr 11 in Sept. she was talking yesterday about booking a holiday abroad next June, I commented about her sons GCSE (although as soon as I had said it realised they usually finish in May) next year. She said 'oh he's not bothered and anyway he's stopping with his grandma. At the school he goes to (same as my sons) they take some GCSE's in year 10 so I asked if he's anxious about his results due out next week - she doesn't know what he's taken and anyway 'he's not bothered'!!! He has never done a stroke of homework and she doesn't agree with the school giving him detention over it. She's a nice enough person but her parenting leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion.

Anyway good luck to all the students and their parent awaiting results, we will be in your position next year.

Yes, I will be glad when Thursday is finally here. I know my DD has done her best, I just hope she gets the grades she needs for 6th form college

:wizard: :wizard: Good Luck Kerry & everyone else:wizard: :wizard:

Mandy :)
