Any other 80's era computer geeks see Big Bang Theory tonight?

Talk about flashbacks -- I loved it. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, but it was classic.

Oh bad word!!! I missed it. I hate that they changed the night.

I was cracking up.

I remember sitting up all night, typing those stupid commands!

Big Bang was awesome tonight. A few this season have been only okay, and I was starting to worry that they were running out of material. This one was laugh out loud funny.

I was trying to explain to my DD that back in the day we used to use the card punch machine to do our programming because we'd only get 100 minutes of computing time per class. Using the cards took up so much less actual computing time. And that left so much more computing time for other things!

dd was THRILLED to find out we still have a copy, now she wants me to dig it out.

Great show tonight! DH and I were laughing and trying to name all the old games we'd play. The kids thought we were nuts and couldn't understand why we would type in what to do. Um, because that was advanced technology back then! :lmao:

I thought it was funny even though I had never played the game before:rotfl:

"Zork" was way modern for me... I starting playing "Adventure" on a DEC 10 mainframe!

My favorite quote of the episode..sorry, last weeks epiosde! I watched both last night!

Leonard: What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?
Sheldon: Screwed.
Leonard: There you go.

Has anyone seen Jim Parsons apperance on Seasme Street?
Too cute-

I had no patience with those "Adventure" games. I just couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do. I would last about 3 minutes before giving up.

By the way, while we're on the subject of computers and Big Bang, did anyone see the one where they were talking about attempting to pass themselves off as Apple geniuses and got caught while showing a customer how to boot up in safe mode? Was that a slip, or was that part of the joke - there is no "safe mode" on a Mac.
