Any option for character brunch/lunch besides Chef Mickey's?

We currently have ADR for brunch at Chef Mickey's, but I have read that foods there are not that good. While the point of doing a character meal is mainly for the characters, I at least want some decent foods. Are there other options?? TIA.

We haven't tried Chef Mickey's yet. But we like Garden Grill, it has very good food in my opinion, it's served family style. Characters: Mickey, Chip and Dale, and Pluto, all attired "farmer-style"

Non park you have Ohana (family style) at the Polynesian with Lilo and Stitch, Mickey, Pluto

Yes Cape May Cafe, i forgot that one! The fab 4 in Beach costumes

Does it offer brunch/lunch? I checked, but only found breakfast or dinner hours. Perhaps it's seasonal?? Same with Ohana.

You are correct. Neither of these do Brunch OR Lunch.
Lots of incorrect info in the responses here.
The BC is not the Fab 4. It is Minnie, Goofy and Donald. Mickey is not there.
Tusker House does not offer Brunch. It offers Breakfast Lunch and Dinner.
Garden Grille is the same. No Brunch. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

There is no character lunch/brunch outside the parks save Chef Mickey. The last seatings at 1900 Park Fare and Ohana for breakfast are around 11AM, but are not w true lunch/brunch.

While not an official Brunch, 1900 PF has breakfast ADRs until 11:30 or so. The food is good enough and the character interaction has always been great (usually Mary Poppins, Pooh, Tigger, Alice and the Mad Hatter). We've gone there with late ADRs on MK days as a mid-day break.

I think 1900 PF and Cape May go until 11:30 like PP said. They serve only the breakfast food, but there is a nice selection.

I am always amused by the "Brunch" confusion. In our area Brunch is a specific meal - not food eaten at a particular time of day. Seems like lots of people here consider a breakfast that is served until near noon to be "Brunch". But in my mind that is NOT the case.
Brunch food offered is way beyond breakfast choices. There are usually, soups, salads, meats, veggies potatoes, and desserts as well as breakfast food offerings.
If someone told me a meal was Brunch and I got there and it was only breakfast foods, I would be very disappointed.

I agree that brunch can be different food, but I think that some brunch food is regularly served at some breakfasts...carved ham, strawberry soup, quiche, corned beef hash, tater tots, jasmine rice, stewed tomatoes

Breakfast - Fresh Fruit and Breads:

Grapefruit, Honeydew, Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Strawberries, Pineapple, Grapes, Croissants, Assorted Jams, Assorted Muffins, Multigrain Bread, Assorted Breads, Flour Tortillas, Sticky Buns, Assorted Donut Holes

Chef's Favorites:

Floridian Strawberry Soup with fresh Strawberries
Cheese Blintz with Strawberry, warmed Blueberry, or Whipped Cream Toppings
Smoked Salmon Lox with Capers, Diced Onions, and Chopped Hard-boiled Eggs
Classic Eggs Benedict with Sauce Hollandaise
House-made Corned Beef Hash
Made-to-Order Omelets and Eggs
Yogurt Bar

Carving Station:

Hickory-smoked Ham with a Brown Sugar-Maple-Honey Glaze

Breakfast Dishes:

Pancakes with Bananas Foster or Old-fashion Syrup, Plain and Onion Bagels, Hash Browns, Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, Potatoes O'Brien, Stewed Tomatoes, Sausage, Bacon, Maple French Toast, Assorted Pastries, Scrambled Eggs, Cheese Grits, Jasmine Rice, Oatmeal, Crushed Avocado

Sweets and Treats:

Sticky Cinnamon Buns *

I couldn't agree with you more. I feel that for it to be an official "Brunch", it needs to be between about 11AM and 2PM and offers both breakfast and lunch items (mimosas and Bloody Marys should also be involved). Palo on DCL is a perfect example of what a "Brunch" really is. Unfortunately, WDW doesn't have enough options like that that are offered regularly, especially not with characters.

I honestly don't mind having a late breakfast rather than brunch/lunch at 1900 Park Fare, but my concern with the last reservation (11:30) is that the characters may be in a rush to leave (end of shift) and the kids won't be able to enjoy as much of their presence as if we have an earlier reservation. Plus, the waitstaff may want to "rush" us out the door earlier than we like as well (end of shift, again). Lastly, the foods may be "leftovers" rather than freshly prepared.

For those that have been to a later reservation at 1900 Park Fare, did any of that happen?

You will be fine at Chef Mickeys - eat the parmesan mashed potatoes - they are yummy! Your kids will love the character interactions. I would keep what you have and form your own opinion about the food.

None is that happens at a late ADR at 1900PF.

If you are not interested in Characters there is a Breakfast Buffet at "The Wave" in the Contemporary resort. If you are interested in Characters I think: 'Ohana Best Friends Breakfast is good at the Poly,
they bring the food to you (all you care to eat) plus there are Lilo, Stitch and Pluto.
