i love the night time but when im in my room at night when everyones asleep i get jumpy and freaked out.

Meh, I've gotton use to it now.

I usually leave my light on, until I get real tired and I'll lay in my bed with my laptop.
But I always check the closet and shut it before I go to bed.
Leaving it open or slightly open creeps me out.

And I'm usually listening to my zune, so I can't really hear anything but music.

If I'm sleeping, I have my fan on, and I'm listening to music.
It's kinda creepy while my eyes are adjusting to the darkness though, because I think I see things.
But once I can see better, I just kinda stare at my room with no real problem.

Once and a while that will happen to me. I'll read...watch tv or turn my fish tank light on. Or just put music on or something.

Oh yeah. When it's all quiet and everyone else is asleep, I get kinda freaked. I listen to everything so intently, I start to make it more dramatic than it actually is.

I never turn my bedroom light off until the very last minute. I always check my bathroom and closet, and shut the doors tightly. And I close the curtains completely.

Only when I'm in the house by myself.
But even then, if you just close everything up so it doesn't move around and turn on something that will give you background noise, you'll be fine. A TV doubles as background sound and a nightlight, or a ceiling fan is noisy enough to keep you from hearing common noises.

I always have a little light on a wand that I use when I go down the hall for the bathroom at night. Last summer I stayed up until about 3 am reading Harry Potter every night and it got a little creepy in the hallway....
So I understand what you mean.

Just know that nothing is likely to happen and don't ever watch something scary before you go to bed!!! It'll just make you jumpy.

Yes. I have trouble going to sleep without the tv on, so it's usually always on.

I get scared especially after reading scary stuff.

Sometimes.
Not really.
It depends on the weather :p

I'll get freaked out when I'm walking through my house with all the lights off. I'll usually rush to my room.

But other than that... No, not really.

Yes.
I didn't get to bed last night until 4:33 AM.
I heard noises and got terrified.
I'm scared to fall asleep at night so I stay up until 4-5 AM and sleep all day.
I hate it.

Same with me. I normally take my cell phone with me and use it as a light xD

i m like... always scared at night. if im not tired... i stare at the ceiling. my tv HAS to b on all night... because it seems as if i have company.

I have a baby next door who's cries sounds like a cat. So when I hear them, I think Muffin is in pain and that freaks me out a bit. Plus, I sometimes hear sounds like someone's coming up the stairs and towards my room. They really creep me out.

every once in a while, i get scared. but i do have a reason--sort of. whenever i stay at my dads house, its in a condo. the people we share a wall with (neighbors) are sometimes really loud; running up and down stairs, banging on the walls, shouting...yeah thats them. and sometimes it really freaks me out to the point im checking under my bed and in closets. sometimes i wont leave the room without my dog going ahead of me...

so you see, i sort of have an almost-good reason.

I don't exactly what I'm afraid of.
I just have issues with being the one turning the computer off before bed, and the one who has to turn off the stove light before bed.

Im always the last one up. I HATE turning off all the lights/putting the alarm on/locking the doors. It scared me. But, one I'm in my room I put on my fan (which is loud) and open my blinds (the night is actually pretty bright when the moon is big) and Im not scared anymore.

I have to have the bathroom and landing lights on and i have to have all wardrobe doors closed. I leave my door half open so some light can come in. I'm fine if someone else is downstairs because i can blame all the creaks of the house on them. Usually i'm the last one up though. I turn my computer and light off and dive under my covers. My house makes some pretty freaky noises. The floorboards creek, the cupboards click and it sounds like falling plates and the windows make this noise and it sounds like rocks hitting it. I always feel like someone else is in my house. I've actually had my parents up to check before.

I get scared when I'm downstairs at night and everyone else is in bed. I have to be up in my room. I have this wild imagination and I'll start dreaming up scenerios about a mass murder who's wandering around my town, or some creeper watching me through the windows when I'm downstairs. My room is in the attic, so for some reason I feel safer up there, or my imagination does..haha!

Sometimes I get scared too. Like sometimes when I try to go to sleep it will feel like someone is watching me. It scares me. So when that happens I try to think about something else until I fall asleep.:scared1:

Yes!

When I was going thru chemo, my mom would sleep in my room with me. Like, if I needed to use the bathroom, or needed meds in the early morning, or had to puke, she would be there. My room is downstairs and hers is upstairs so it's would've been alot harder if she didn't stay down here.
Anyway, about 3 weeks ago, she moved back upstairs. For the first week, it was really hard sleeping alone. I have tinnitus (ringing in the ears) so even when it's silent thruout the house, it's not for me. I would stay up all night nights on end because I was too afraid to sleep.

I have a really bad fear of being alone and I have seperation anxiety. I also have a fear of the dark.
Put those two together and it's not a good time.

I get a little freaked cause my house is like 300 years old so it creaks and makes funny noises all the time. Plus we have mice, so you can always here the little feet goin'.

Thats kinda creepy but ususally it doesn't bother me too much unless I've had too much caffeine and I'm all jumpy and nervous. Then I get really freaked. But usually I fall asleep before any noises start becoming scary.
