To not buy something for yourself while Christmas shopping? I'm finding things I want all the time. I can say that I haven't...yet...but want to. Ok, so fess up, who here has bought something for themselves while Christmas shopping?

I did. I bought a shirt and I bought a coach bag for my daughter but she said she doesn't want a handbag, she rather have other things, so it is Merry Xmas to me! She doesn't even know about the handbag, when she sees me with a new one, and it is cute, she is going to wish it was hers. :rotfl:

The last few years that my DH was so sick, I had to shop for myself - and of course this year he's not here anymore, so it's the same situation.. Not much I really need or want, but I did buy a few scrapbook items that I normally wouldn't spend money on..

I bought just about all my Christmas presents last year. I did it with the intention of "saving dh the trouble", but also so that I would get what I wanted! :earboy2:
This year, dh told me I'm not allowed to do that (he even took the kids out yesterday to shop).
HOWEVER - I did get myself a 6 pack of Micky antenna ears - for different holidays when I was in NY.

I do every year. Just can't pass up the deals especially on clothes. DH can't buy clothes for me (I have to try everything on because I have hips and things don't always fit well)

I did buy myself a nice casual coat at more than 50% off. :cool1:

I constantly buy myself stuff. I don't get out and shop a lot anymore because the kids keep me busy, so when I make a concerted effort to go Christmas shopping and I see something *I* need and want, then I just get it. Who knows when I will get out again.

I always buy my own presents! So far this year I have bought Reba's new greatest hits CD (that will be put under the tree, I even wrap my own presents!) and I got an early present of a new printer for my laptop for my school work. It is an all in one: copier/scanner/photo/ fax/ printer from Dell...got a great price on it too! I am already using it so that will not be under the tree.

Nope, I always feel guilty when buying myself something when I am suppose to be shopping for the family. I always get everything they need, then I worry about myself.

I do. This year I needed a new pocketbook as the other one was literally hanging on by only a single thread! A new pair of fuzzy slippers, hand cream, Yankee Candle samplers, nail hardener

Actually we are finding it hard not to buy stuff for our nephew! He's just the most adorable little guy - we have to keep reminding ourselves that he isn't our child and to reign ourselves in a bit.
As for myself, I am finding it hard to come up with suggestions for other people for stuff for me.

Usually I try to do it all in one fell swoop, and I'm very focused on that, not on buying anything for myself, so I'd have to answer no.

I haven't been tempted. The stores are so crowded that all I want to do is get what I came for and get OUT again, fast!

Yeah, I have this problem too. My mom always asks for perfume and I like to get her some Estee Lauder kind, just so I can get the big makeup kit for cheap! I'm baaaddd! My mom doesn't wear make up, so she wouldn't use it! :teeth:
