Has anyone ate at Nine Dragons Restaurant. This is a place I want to try. I am wondering if it is any good. Was the food good.

Went dec 06 and althought I did not some in my party did and really liked it. THEY REALLY LIKED THE EGGROLLS!

I had dinner there during my trip at the beginning of this month. It's pretty standard Chinese fare. The food's good, but this restaurant is not on my "must eat there" list.

We ate there last month and were pretty disappointed. We felt that our local Chinese places have much better food and cost much less. I thought my food was ok but my DH thought his was horrible, and he is the type of guy who will eat almost anything.

If you've never tried it, it's worth the go. Like sk8belle said...the food IS good but it isn't on our list of "must eat there" either. There are other restaurants we want to try out and the food there IS standard Chinese that you would get at a good Chinese restaurant. We go every couple/few years.

I've eaten there, and the food is so-so.
I believe there are much better choices at EPCOT for the money.

LeCellier, San Angel, Chefs De France.

They only way I'd eat at Nine Dragons again, is if I couldn't get an ADR anywhere else.

My DBF asked to go there last January. It was decent, not great. I got some spicy chicken dish and it was so spicy it was painful (and I like spicy foods). The honey sesame chicken is REALLY yummy, however, I found on Debs website the recipe for it, so I'd rather make it for myself and go to a different restaurant in Epcot (especially since there are SO many food options there). I'd rather experiment with a cuisine I don't have in my town (all we basically have is italian, chinese and mexican).

When are you going? Nine Dragons will be closed just about all of 2008 for a major remodeling.

I have to agree with others. It's pretty standard Chinese food. Though I guess it's overpriced standard Chinese food. Probably won't eat there again (though the food was good enough; we liked it well enough).

We like it and usually end up eating one meal there. Yes, I have had better Chinese food, but this is good also. And we have always been able to get in without reservations and the service for us has always been great.

The skewered beef appy is GREAT and so is the honey sesame chicken. Go and enjoy the beautiful decor! Just stick to ordering from a few recommended dishes that folks on this board often suggest (like the honey sesame chicken). We avoided it like the plague for 19 vacations because of reviews on the DIS but last year, on our 20th visit to the world--we tried it and loved it!

DH and I both hated it. Food was just blech! Service was good, though. We'll never go back and I can't recommend it.

The food is no better than any chinese restaurant where you live. Funny story:

My wife and I ate there over Christmas week. As we were getting our drinks, they seat Barry Bonds and his family at the table right next to us. Needless to say, most people wound their way through the restaurant to get a glimpse of him.

The closest I have been to a major ball player.

My fiance and I ate there just last week and we enjoyed it. It isn't anything phenomenal for chinese food, but I will tell you they had to roll us out of there, we ate so much (get the honey chicken)!! I even woke up the next morning still full! Our server was great, we had a table next to us that was seated right in front near the window and they were so nice. THey invited us over to their table while Illuminations was going on!! If you can get a table at that time, during that show, wow, go for it! It was great!! :thumbsup2

We ate here for the first time in Sept. 2007. We prolonged eating here due to DIS reviews. DH and I believe try everywhere yourself, everyone on this board has extremely different taste.

We had the dinner for two. DH had wonton soup, I had hot & sour both were very tasty. The meal also included dim sum and egg rolls which we enjoyed. For entrees we chose the honey sesame chicken and sweet & sour chicken. :thumbsup2 We were very pleased with our meal.

We enjoyed it so much that we changed a December 2007 ADR so we can return with our kids here during our family holiday trip.

Try everything at least once, decide for yourselves!

We ate at the Nine Dragons Restaurant this week and it was delicious. We don't have very good restaurants where I live and we thought the Canton Pepper Steak and Honey Sesame Chicken were delicitious. We tried to get a change in the chicken menu for my grandson and they were unable to prepare just chicken and sauce no vegetables with it. It came out with the peanuts and hot sauces. Since he could not eat this, they willingly took the meal off of the menu.
This is the second time we have eaten here in 2 months and would go again.
