Any one do San Juan Rainforest Excursion?

We are booked to do the shorter rainforest excursion next week. We'd appreciate anyone's detailed experience on last week's cruise. I read that the hike to the falls was rather strenuous...

Myself and my Mum (70) enjoyed it this week. I didn't feel it was too strenous and she coped well and even managed to climb to the top of the observation tower. Do not expect to get swimming though and we found the falls rather disappointing - we have better ones in Scotland! However the rest was great and we loved the drive to the rainforest as we got to see a lot of Puerto Rico. Just be careful not to get the two trips confused as a lot of people did and hence were disappointed.

We are booked on the "Nature Walk Through La Mina Falls at the Rain Forest" in a few weeks. I believe we get to swim on that particular excursion. Were you on the one called "El Yunque Rainforest Tour"? I've told my kids we will be swimming so I can imagine the disappointment if we were on the wrong tour.

You are on the right tour - that is the longer one and you will get swimming. I wanted to do that one but my mum wouldn't have managed it

I have one more question............do they serve food during the excursion? Wondering if I should pack some snacks/water.
