Any one do a child swap recently?

I'd like to swap my 15 1/2 DS for a playmate for my DD, 8. Of course, I'll switch back in about 3 or 4 years and then offer up the girl child, when he is able to show his human side (vs. his alien side) and she is entering the dark side :rotfl2:

We had an interesting dilemma on our past trip. The CM at Splash Mt. said if the kid was tall enough, but too scared to ride (as was the case w/ our DS 5 yrs old) we couldn't get a rider switch ticket.

What do other families do when this happens? Thanks in advance!

If that happend to us, we would prolly all get a fast pass, and with the hour window try to get everyone thought he ride doing our own swap... i think this would work with most things (not all) If you were right at the ride when your fast pass window opened, then on parent go, when they get back the next go as long as the fast pass window is open. HTH! :)

One good thing you should know is they are still doing the child swap. We used it quite frequently this past trip. We would all pull fastpasses and then also get a child swap pass (since 2 of the childen with us were too small to ride most of the bigger rides) We would all ride once using our fastpasses then 3 of us could ride again using the rider or child swap pass. Also they all had expirations of several days after they were given to us. For example the one we were given at Epcot on July 22nd did not expire until July 31st. That worked out nicely because by the time we all used our fastpasses (we split into 2 groups so no one had to stay with the smaller kids alone) it was time for our supper ressies in Germany. By the time we were done eating no one wanted to walk all the way back to the front of the park (we were staying at BWV) so we were able to save the rider swap for a different day. Only 3 of us got to go on but at least my oldest son got to do it another time.
The ones we got for Splash mountain did not have an expiration at all on them. We did the same thing for this ride (got fastpasses and then a child swap pass) But were ready to go back to the resort after we used our fastpasses. Then when we went back that evening (it was a friday night and the EMH were going) we got to Splash just after the park closed at 11:00 and the EMH had started. We asked about using these not realizing that there are no fastpasses issued during EMH and the CM working pointed out that there was no expiration on these tickets and could use them any other time during the normal park hours. Since this was our last night there we came home with it. Not sure if I will try to use it on our trip next year or not but at least it will make a good souvineir for my scrapbook.
