I booked a holiday in may for next year I booked it through wdw . I tried to log in the other day to manage my booking but no luck I emailed them and they said looking at the booking number it looks like I booked through their affliate company openride and to contact them. Open ride dont have an email address and I am not very good on the phone.
has any one else experienced this. I dont know how or why its though openride (we booked a flight inclusive holiday )
I want to be able to log in so I can request my seats and book my adrs when the time comes.
any help or advice please ?

Ive also just found out that disney do not use openride anymore :( but they are honouring bookings for 2012. I am feeling very nervous now ( go next aug)

Hi There

Im sorry I havent heard of them, but Im going to pop this over to Trip Planning for you to see if any of our members over there can help you at all.:goodvibes

we booked through WDW UK in June on a flight inclusive package

We first got a Virgin Holidays confirmation, followed by a WDW Travel confirmation stating it was booked through Openride ... both invoices were identical except for the paper they were printed on!

Today I rang WDW travel for my 12 digit confirmation number which they were able to give me immediately and which the disney website recognises. I've also used the original booking reference number on the virgin atlantic site to book my seats, so far so good!

Same here feel a bit let down with Disney for not letting us use the website, but I emailed Disney for my reservation number and got it you can also log in to virgin to see your booking but do not pay them also did the same as above with booking seats with virgin

thanks guys

I would phone, not email. I sent an email for my US reference last year and was told I couldn't have it as it wasn't released until 6 weeks out :rolleyes1

I had already rang them anyway. First CM told me they can't access it. I hung up and phoned back and the next person I spoke to gave it to me right away over the phone.

I had no knowledge of Disney no longer using OpenRide. I have booked through them before but this is the first I have heard of the change. As far as I know, OpenRide was not an independent travel comany. It was, from my understanding, a division of Virgin Holidays assigned to handle fligth inclusive bookings on behalf of WDTC. Who is the booking through now? Is it VH? If so, there is no change at all except in name as VH have always handled these.

thanks guys

I phoned the number on the website 0870 24 24 900 the guy I spoke to yesterday knew exactly what I was talking about and gave me the 12 digit confirmation number (although the disney site didn't accept it immediately I had to input my name and date of arrival and resort - it then found the booking fine) and I have booked some ADRs already

As far as booking your seats are concerned I did it on the virgin atlantic site using the booking reference on the invoice I got from openride - on the top right hand corner it says Booking No - again it asked me more details name etc but found the flight and I booked the seats immediately (and managed to grab a '2' at the back of the 747 which made me happy

Hopefully you'll be able to sort yours too
