Any news on Dreams for 2009

Anyone hear if they extended the Year of a Million Dreams until 2009?

I guess if Disney decides to do that it will become Years of a Million Dreams!! This is already the 2nd year. It would be nice but maybe they will think up something new. There is usually something going on between anniversaries and birithdays of someone or something!! 2008 is actully Mickey's 80th!

Nope. Year of a Million Dreams is officially done as of December 31, 2008. A new celebration is in the works for 2009.

I'm hoping for a fun 2009 promo year. That will be our next WDW trip.
We did both WDW and DL during YOAMD. No dream team for us, but had a great time just the same, of course.

Thank goodness! I was hoping the YOAMD promotion would be over for our next trip. Our last trip my DD spent the whole week waiting for her dream to come true. I didn't even know she had high expectations of it. Our last day she was very withdrawn and by that afternoon she started crying. When I asked her what was wrong, she said "Disney lied! My dream did not come true." I asked what her dream was? She wanted a fastpass for a day so she could ride her favorite rides over and over. What is a mom suposed to do about that? You go to Disney, your vacation should not end with a child crying because they thought they would win something. I want it all over with so the only expectations this time is the fun we will have as a family.

I think its kinda overrated. Its my opinion. We're FL ressies & we've gone about 4 times since November each visit for at least 3 days ( i like long weekends) twice on property twice off property and nothing. Congrats to all that have gotten a dream granted I'm quite envious, however, I too would like to see this disappear. Our next trip will be in September-one can only wish, but we're going to just have fun.
