Just saw on the Weather Channel that Nassau got pounded!!!!!

Nope. Abaco Island is the neighboring island, and from what little was reported from there, it sounds like it was a rough ride.

We are assuming CC got hit hard. Hopefully, how they rebuilt the dock it will survive better than in '99. The vegetation probably needs to be redone and probably some structures need work. Since Frances sat so long without moving I am guessing beach erosion was bad but that is only a guess. The good point to remember, it can by rebuilt. They did in '99 and they will do it again in '04. It could be a long time before we hear anything. They will need to send someone out to survey the damage and with Ivan coming up right behind Frances, they might have to wait it out.
