I told all my friends last night that I was going to be nicer in the New Year. They all laughed at me???:confused3
;)

I was just sitting here thinking that I hadn't seen a resolution thread!

I had every intention of making a long list of resolutions, but I haven't done it yet. So I think I'll say.... My New Year's resolution is to do what I say I'll do right away from now on!

I'll go along with being nicer! I already do what I say, so I'd have to add:

1) Do more cleaning (scratch that, I'd break that in a minute):sad2:
2) Definitely spend more family time (is there more than 24/7?):hourglass
3) Definitely watch what I eat.popcorn::

4) Take more time to remember to be very grateful for the wonderful life I have.:thumbsup2

I hadn't thought about it, but I guess I'd like to finish the book I'm writing.

I have pledged with my 16yo son to be more environmentally friendly in the new year.

We have set up a recycling bin for our cans and we're going to search antique and thrift shops for used items before hitting the mall or stores -- to cut down on trash in our landfills and environmental damage from manufacturing.

so far I've bought a used pair of Oakley sunglasses off of ebay and I found a refurbished sink faucet for the downstairs sink we're installing.

Mine is the same as last year. I want to keep getting healthier, taking better care of myself, making sure I do things I enjoy, and making sure I relax more.

I am getting back to exercising daily and making healthier choices.

Making menus at least a week in advance and STICKING to them.

Save more $$ and cut down on unnecessary spending.

I don't make New Year's resolutions because it implies that you "have" to do something.. I prefer to make changes because I "want" to.. :)

I want to live in the moment more this year. I have a son who is a senior in high school and will be graduating and moving to college so I want to savor and remember the time we have remaining as an intact family!

I'd also like to be nicer, exercise more, eat healthier, stick to a menu, spend less on trivial things, blah, blah, blah... lol.

I found this online... :rotfl: I got a good laugh out of it!

Happy New Year!
Resolutions You Can Actually Keep...
-----------

Are you sick of making the same resolutions year after year and yet you never keep them? Here are some resolutions that you can actually accomplish! Enjoy! :-)

10. Read less.

9. I want to gain weight. Put on at least 30 pounds.

8. Stop exercising. Waste of time.

7. Watch more TV. I've been missing some good stuff.

6. Procrastinate more.

5. Drink. Drink some more.

4. Start being superstitious.

3. Spend more time at work.

2. Stop bringing lunch from home: I should eat out more.

and last but not least...

1. Take up a new habit: maybe smoking!

I told DH I was finally going job hunting....He hysterically laughed!:lmao:

I have none yet, but I will come up with one before the month is over:thumbsup2

I guess to try and forget about Ken. You'd think I would have by now...my head says forget him, my heart says not to. I'm not sure which one to listen to.
