Any new Visa card members apply without the DVC link?

I called yesterday because I too did not get DVC on my card, and I did re apply and even with my excellent credit I was issued a letter of denial due to "multiple credit requestw"

I called and spoke with a "Disney card Manager" who stated that DVC members will not miss any perks due to the fact that they are DVC members all offers will be mailed/emailed to all DVC members.

I will just keep my day 1 charter member card for now I guess. I was assured the only difference is the dvc member imprint on the card.

hope this helps. Felicia

I applied with the stockholder code and feared my card would say "Goofy" but it too is embossed "CHARTER CARDMEMBER." Numerous phone calls to both Disney and Bank One indicate that there is no difference between the two cards and that to re-apply and consolidate accounts is the only way to make the embossing change. GOOFY!

Well, I already had a First USA card so instead of getting a new one, I just transferred this card over to a Disney Bank One Visa. I mentioned several times while I was on the phone that I wanted to give him the special passcode so that it would say DVC Member. He never did take the code from me, he assured me that it would say DVC Member and told me I would have to call back once I get the card and give them the special passcode??? For what I don't know???? I thought the passcode is just what made sure that DVC gets on the card??? Anyway, we will see once I get the card if it says DVC Member. I am not taking bets though!

I would try the "you made the mistake" angle with a supervisor.

Terry, I would call the Cust Service #(800)300-8575 before they print the card. Good Luck!

Everyone else, GOOD LUCK as well, I made sure I used the code.

What number did you call for the change? I applied through disneysecret, not realizing there was a dvc card.
Thanks

The number that I called was 1-800-777-1240. I had first checked the automated recording that told me we were approved and would receive the card in about 10 days. I called the number back and "punched" my way through to a live operator and like I mentioned, I was transfered a couple of times. The girl then told me that she would adjust it in the computer - I asked if she wanted the DVC code and she told me no, she didn't need it. That was Sunday, today is Thursday and we still haven't received anything- so maybe that's a good sign.

Good luck

Well, I got me cards today and as suspected even though the guy told me they would say DVC, they don't say DVC on them. I called and she told me that this was a problem for many people and they were aware of it and they were working hard on coming up with a resolution. She took my name and number and told me someone would contact me within 48 hours. I will let you know what they say when they contact me.

We just received our cards today also, only 22 days after I applied. I called the customer service # on 3/9 because I hadn't heard anything from them and was assured that we were approved, our cards would reflect the DVC logo and that we would be receiving the cards soon. I was informed that my name did not show up anywhere (even though I filled out the application. Well, I called again yesterday and the curt customer service rep. told me that the cards were indeed in the mail (mailed on 3/19) and we would be receiving them soon. I was concerned because today is the last day to apply for at least the Day 1 logo. :earseek:

Oh well, at least we got both cards (my DH never did speak to anyone!) with the charter member/ Day 1 logo on it. :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Please keep us posted on what they say.

I just called the customer service number on the back of my card and they told me that if you have this problem, all you have to do is call them (you might have to say that the operator never asked for your DVC code. They are aware of a huge number of upset cardmembers (that was OTR) Basicly, just ask them to change it and they will fix it. They are still working on the how, but I was told that you will be able to keep your Day 1 status without an additional credit check.

Try it and see...

I just received a message on my answering machine that says that a new card with the same account number is in the mail and it says Disney Vacation Club.

I called yesterday and the CSR just asked me for my member number and told me a new card would be sent out ina few days. I'll report back when I receive it.

My wife finally got her card and it came with DISNEY VACATION CLUB on it. Same acount number. Then a few days later, I received my new card with the correction. That was pretty easy.

Oh yeah, we also received our pin this week. So all is good with the world. Now if we can only get rid of this darn lousy weather!
