Okay MIB999999, I'm curious, I am trying to make tentative dinner plans, is Mythos a must do? We'll be at US/IOA for 4 nights, need dinner for three of them and lunch for all four. Any suggestions oh guru?

Mythos is definately a must. Make sure to ask your server about the Rissoto of the day and the Pasta of the day. For right now these two dishes are where Chef Mark expresses his creativity. It is almost never the same thing each day. Last week the Rissoto was a spinich rissoto with a raspberry-red wine reduction and grilled scallops.

I guess common wisdom is white wine for seafood. Well this combination was to die for. The burst of flavor when the grilled scallop was combined with the sauce took me back to the first meal i ever had at Mythos. I almost passed on the Banana Gooey Cake and ordered another Rissoto for dessert

Ate at Bubba Gump's and it was good. I guess one of the things i remembered from the movie was Bubba telling Forest all the different ways to prepare shrimp. I guess in my mind i expected a huge platter with all those different ways of shrimp preparation as a family type of meal.

Service was good, Shrimp was good, gift shop was good.

we ate there tonight and I agree with MIB. the one thing I noticed is the strong smell of shrimp when you walk in the door. there were quite a few tables open where at the same time Margaritaville was on a wait.

there's plenty of other options on the menu if you're not into shrimp.

DD and I ate at Bubba Gumps on 8/1. We had a great time and definitely plan to go back again. We were able to walk and be seated immediately for lunch, about noon. The staff is attentive, fun, and interactive. Lots of movie trivia. Since DD saw the movie 5 times this past May (her English teacher showed it for two weeks straight, I teach at the same school and even I don't know how that was pulled off) so she was the star. Anyway on to the food!

We split a fried calamari, it is served with fried pepperoncini <sp> and two yummy dipping sauces. It was not at all greasy. DD had a fried chicken salad with she loved and looked awesome. I had a shrimp platter ( I can't remember the official name it had) which included fried shrimp, coconut friend shrimp and steamed shrimp each with a dipping sauce. It was good and more then I could eat but I will try something different next time. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give Bubba Gump's a solid 9.

We ate at the one in Maui on our honeymoon, and it was great!!!!! The shrimp was terrific!!

Hi,
My DD16 and I ate there last Friday eve. I had called a few days before we left and they said they weren't taking ressies at this time, so we just showed up around 5pm because they said that we would be seated without a wait at that time. We really liked it. Lots of FG memorabilia, the movie plays on the big screen, and the servers ask you FG trivia and ask for trivia questions from you to stump other customers. The service is great, portions are huge! DD got shrimp, I got chicken, both were delicious. After we went into the gift shop, lots of hats, T-shirts ( which we bought), knicknacks, Bubba Gumps shrimp cookbook, DD got her friend a little shrimp magnet with BG on it! I would recommend it if you haven't been...plenty of other stuff on the menu if you're not into seafood.
