Any New & Improved (Or Removed) Halloween Decorations in DLR This Year?

We were there 9/20-9/27. I have 1382 pictures to edit yet, plus 216 from photopass, but I went thru quickly to see what I had of Halloween. :)

Here is Minnie's costume. I remember it as being the same as last year, but maybe it's not exactly.

Here's Donald in his.

Big Thunder ranch looked the same to me as last year. They had this picture spot outside of it that I didn't remember from last year. There were photo pass photogs hanging out there.

Goofy's Candy Corn Acres looked the same to me also. However I didn't remember seeing Heimlich (sp?) come out of the "bite" on the giant candy corn, but we saw him this year. I haven't found any pics of it in ours, but I know I have some on the photo pass pics.

I don't remember candy corn hanging on the golden gate last year. Maybe they were, but I don't remember them. They say Halloween Time on them.

And I thought these were cute in World of Disney.

As I posted before, Minnie's costume is different, and the consensus is that it has been significantly downgraded from this:

Thank you for posting these! It is building my anticipation for my trip in a couple of days!!! Your kids are adorable and I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures (okay, maybe not ALL of 1598 them, but some!). I also love Donald's pumpkin costume - he looks so tubby and cute!

ty sherry i know it will be but tot and the micky thing i was looking forward to some pics but wow those pics look grate

No ToT decorations yesterday(Monday). I think they are on the way. I do not think that Disney is cutting back on the decorations, it is still early in the season.

By the way...The bat transom thing over the entryway to ToT area is not even up yet.

Well, the Halloween season is not really that long. The Christmas/Holiday season is quite a bit longer. DLR is actually stretching the Halloween season out much longer than anyone else considers it to be, so since they advertised on their website that Halloweentime at DLR officially started on September 26th this year, it seems that they would make sure to have everything up that was supposed to be up as far as decorations by September 26th, even if they bagn putting up little things here and there in the last couple of weeks. When we were there last year on the first weekend of the official Halloweentime start, everything was up. Just like they have an official start date to the Christmas season - even though they may start putting up little things here and there leading up to the start date, everything is up and running by the official start date. So that is why it baffels me about the ToT not being done yet - or at all. They advertised it as being part of their Halloweentime-decorated attractions. I wonder if they had some sort of problem and just decided to skip it this year. And they are also not doing the Golden Screams in DCA this time. It just seems like they are not going all out this year as they did last year, cutting out the floral Halloween Mickey and everything.

And, as we know, the economy is just very bad this year and DLR's attendance is down. They may have just decided to skip some things in 2008 because of that.

Oh well. It will still be a lot of fun. I am just curious as to what is missing and what is new!

but for those who take the M&F tram into DLR, the Mickey, Minnie, and Donald display among the pumpkins and bats is still there - I believe on the right side of the tram as you are headed to the DTD stop.

Blatant repost - but since this is such a tough shot to get ...

I am glad you reposted the picture because I imagine that some folks who don't take the tram don't realize that this display is there! It is kind of a little treat for those who parked in M&F, but the DLR hotels guests don't necessarily get to see it! I think it is pretty festive. I wish they would put it in the park, but I guess it is nice to add little touches around the perimeter of the parks too!

i didnt notice anything halloween last year on it.... nothin special atleast

exactly...the way the references were made about it last year I seriously was excited to see it (TOT) the only thing they did was put a colored light up against it at night and the sign over the entrance had a bat thingy wth???? Im not getting my hopes up again!

Oh I just loved seeing this last year! Good to know its up again. :goodvibes

I know a lot of people thought the golden screams was dumb but we tried it last year and it was a little corny but I thought it was kind of cute and hey the best part was my daughter won the scream contest. ;)

And you get a REALLY nice trophy. It is a HUGE statute of Chernabog that is REALLY nice. This is her with Hades I think it is from Hercules and the host of the show.

The important thing was the kids really enjoyed the show.

I think the Park looks wonderful with the way it's decorated. Personally, not exactly sure what ToT needs for Halloween. It's scary enough as it is.

Main Street looks incredible! The Mansion is amazing. And to be honest, I like Minnie's outfit much better this year than last.

Oh, and when riding in on the tram from M&F parking lot, there is nothing cooler than hearing the kids scream with excitement when they see the Halloween display. It's very cool to have the magic begin on the way into the Park - when you aren't expecting anything.

I don't have pictures, but the shops have TONS of Halloween merchandise for sale, as well.

Personally, I think Halloween looks great at the Park. Not sure what those who are disappointed expect. Hoping WDW has fun Halloween stuff up too!

I would only be disappointed that certain things that were at DLR last year for Halloweentime are NOT there this year. I don't like to notice anything missing. I like to see new things added every year! But I am sure it looks great and I know I will have a great time (if it cools down some from this horrid 97-degree temperature:mad:)!

I don't even need to take the tram because we are staying at the PPH, but I am tempted to hop on it for a ride just so I can see the cute display!! I always liked riding the tram as a kid!
