We are staying onsite at DL for the first time in November after getting spolied at WDW after staying onsite. Does anyone have some neat things to do with the kids at GC while there? We are going to take advantage of the BAB EE. I need to know if the hotel offers anything interesting for kids? TIA

A couple of years ago, DH and I made towel animals at the GC. Check and see if they still do that.

They offer a storyteller's time by the fireplace in the evenings. I think it is about 5:30 pm, but it should be on your schedule that they give you when you check in and then every evening in your room. They have rocking chairs (adult and child size) that are fun to sit in and listen to the story.

Also, Whitewater Snacks (near the pool) is a great place to get breakfast or lunch while you are there.

There's also a scavenger hunt called the "Grand Quest" for kids. At the end of the hunt the kids get a surprise treat. It's also been mentioned on this board that if you are the first family of the day to turn in the answer sheet, that you'll be rewarded with access to the concierge lounge that night. We have yet to receive that award. As jensmom mentioned, there's also nightly storytelling by the hearth. You'll receive a sheet of activites for teh following days during turndown service. If your kids also enjoy the water, there's the water slides as well. Have a great trip and enjoy your stay at GCH.
