Just wondering if they will be having these again this year and if any info is out yet? Is it usually out by now?

I would like to know this, as well. We are planning a long weekend, and would LOVE for the Merry Mixer to happen during that time! I'm hoping for a Sunday!

I talked to Member Satisfaction about this on Saturday and they haven't been told a thing.

Pretty poor service if you ask me! :sad2:

I'm glad we don't pay for it... wait a minute, we do. :confused3

In the past, I believe this has been held on Fridays (I know in Dec '08 it was). Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Anything on a Fri, Sat or Sunday works for me :) We made it to the last 10 minutes of it last year and missed the characters, music & drawing. Want to try to see if we can enjoy more of it this time around. Anyone up for a dance? :rotfl:

Prior to 2008 it was held on Thursdays. I was disappointed last year b/c we had planned on it staying the same and did not have a Friday night in our stay.

Well, then I might be out of luck this year, We won't be in until late Thursday night. Give me a spiced egg nog from the bar & I think I'll live.

Does anyone remember when they released the dates for the Merry Mixer last year? I'm just wondering if it's too early yet or if they maybe are not doing it this year.

I have been wondering about the Merry Mixer also. I sent an email to MS and this is the reponse I received about 30 minutes ago.

"Thank you for contacting Member Services.

We appreciate your interest in the Member Merry Mixer. Even though we will be having the Member Merry Mixer this year, we have not been given any additional information. Once the information becomes available, it will be posted online at dvcmember.com.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance."

I will continue waiting.

Thanks so much for the update! that's great news that the Merry Mixers are still on for this year!

Well, on the DVC website is some conflicting info- it says Fridays and lists Thursdays.:confused3

Merry Member Mixer
Celebrate the holiday season by mixing and mingling with all your Disney Vacation Club neighbors. This complimentary Member event will be held at the International Gateway entrance to Epcot® every Friday in December from 3 to 5 p.m. Remember to bring your Member I.D. — it's required for admission.

The whole family is invited for an afternoon of festive fun, such as Disney character photo opportunities, an activity area just for kids and a merry special giveaway. We'll also be decking the halls and enjoying light refreshments.

This event is just one of the many perks of a Disney Vacation Club Membership — and our holiday gift to you.

We look forward to seeing you there!

This event is held on the first four Thursdays in December:

•December 3
•December 10
•December 17
•December 24

I just got off the phone with Member Services. At first they did not even know that the information was published yet. Then I told them of the discrepancy on the member's site and was put on hold. They came back on the line and confirmed that the dates WILL be THURSDAYS in December and that there soon will be a change removing the "Fridays" from the site.

Thanks for calling them; I sent an email but your call should get it remedied quicker. I can make the Thursday one! :)

Wow, I might be able to make it one. Gonna' have to re-check my sched. for Dec. 3rd... :goodvibes

woohoo my kids will be so happy to hear that. Especially since that is our free day/. I know there had been reports that they would not be having it this year and warned the kids. Now I don't feel so bad about canceling Cape May cafe for breakfast.

Hurray!! Thursday is our Epcot Day!! We'll be there on the 3rd - anyone know how many guests can come in with us? We'll have a couple of WDW newbies with us - they will love this little event!

Yeaaa!! I hope this is true because we're going to the very last MVMCP on the 18th, and DS (4yr old) needs all day to rest up for it.:thumbsup2 Thanks! I asked my DVC rep yesterday about the Merry Mixer and he had no clue about it. I wonder if maybe eveyone has gotten the info on it yet. However.... on a SUPER happy note... he REALLY led me to believe that the Poly and GF are very close to becoming DVC!:lovestruc:banana: Yes, I was nosey and pushed him to answer questions! :rotfl2:
